That’s what happened to this guy from Ghana, who was charging his mobile in a socket near his bed when it started ringing. He sat down and pressed the answer button when the device exploded in his year. His parents heard the blast and ran into the boy’s room only to find him lying unconscious on the floor. They rushed him to the nearest hospital, but he was declared dead on arrival.

The police haven’t disclosed the brand of the phone until now, but from early investigation, it seems the device was not original.

This is just one of those cases when being cheapskate isn’t worth it.
