While I am in no way a fan of dog fighting, or any other crude things of the sort, I really do not like your commentary on this. The people who, as you put it, “that wage Jihad and punish the infidels” are in no way representative of the entire nation. For one thing, I hope you realize that it being legal or not has very little impact on this “sport,” just take a look at dog fighting in America. And, on the other hand, you have to realize that just about anything is legal right about now, as the country is struggling to get some stability in the government, the economy, and every day life.
I’m glad you’ve said “shame on you humanity,” but you have to realize that you shouldn’t condemn this, and cases Islamic militancy, as the actions of an entire nation. Each and every one of us is guilty of hypocrisy at some point, but in this case, don’t confuse these guys with the Taliban and terrorism, or assume that either of the two, dogfighters or militants are a good representation of the Afghani people.

A very close friend of mine worked at a rescue centre for fighting dogs in Wales, the animals know no other life as it is all they are breed to do.

Criminal gangs are involved also as there is huge financial rewards for champion dogs. Customs and imigrations officials do little to check the import and export (which is banned throughout the EU and others) of these dogs which is why it still continues to grow as a so called blood sport.

Anyone who can indulge in this activity whether in the UK, US, Afghanistan or anywhere else is truly barbaric and dangerous. It’s sad because I’m Black and have risked my life for America, having my leg cut off, and some of the very ones I fight for are straight up racist! We gotta to do better! I happen to own a CAS and my dogs are the greatest dogs in the world. I have owned pit bulls, rottweilers, and filas, but nothing compares to my CAS’s! Beautiful dogs and when pissed beware!
Fourteen hundred years ago, long before the modern animal rights movement began Islam required kindness to animals and cruelty to them a sufficient reason for a person to be thrown into the Fire!
SOME ISLAMIC RULINGS REGARDING ANIMALS
First, Islam requires that pets or farm animals be provided with proper food, water, and a place to live.
Second, an animal should not be beaten or tortured.
Third, Islam forbids using animals or birds for targets when practicing shooting.
Fourth, separating nestling birds from their mothers is not allowed in Islam
Fifth, it is forbidden to mutilate an animal by cutting off its ears, tails or other body parts without just reason.
Sixth, a sick animal under one’s care should be treated properly.
AND IN RELATION TO THIS ARTICLE:
Making animals fight one another for entertainment was also forbidden by the Prophet.
