Can you fire the shot gun while using the shield? Won’t you blow a hole in it? The shot gun doesn’t have a stock, won’t the kick hurt your wrist? Don’t you need two hands to operate the gun? How do you do that with the shield on your arm?

The macheti is too small a galdius or assegai would be better for use from behind a shield.
