Hidden Command Center

And a great way to hide from your parents without getting bored.

I know it looks like an ordinary closet from the outside, and that’s the idea, but inside lies a powerful command center from where a computer geek does great things like…playing World of Warcraft, hacking people’s computers and other fun activities.

This has to be one of the best computer hideouts I’ve ever seen. Not recommended for claustrophobics though.

    want one!

  • Christian Posted on February 1, 2009

What’s the point of the sub-woofer & speakers if the idea is to hide from the parents? What is that white box above the computer tower? Nevertheless, that’s pretty cool, I guess.

  • david Posted on February 1, 2009

what are you talking about? this looks godawful.

  • Tom Posted on February 1, 2009

I don’t see any vents on that box.
How hot does it get when you put a geek in a confined space with a computer running?

  • Scott Washington Posted on February 2, 2009

Awesome. Now you can lock yourself even further away from society.

  • Anon Posted on February 2, 2009

    Just like your mom.

  • Al Posted on February 2, 2009

Wow, it must be hard to clean stenches out of that.

  • dgaf Posted on February 2, 2009

yea wtf is the point in having anything more then headphones if your hiding from them you cant have speakers but having a sub is too much and the white box i think is a camra

  • KrazyKrl Posted on February 2, 2009

Wow, whoever made that has no basic design sense. And no sense of ergonomics. The sound quality from that encased subwoofer must be awesome, and all that unfinished (probable formaldehyde-laden) MDF must make you pretty high from the off-gassing.

I feel bad for your computer; you must get great performance when the door is shut, and the PC runs at 200 degrees.

In summary: the flat black paint job makes it look awful, there is no cable organization, I’m kind of doubting how comfortable that kind of space is, and it looks like you sure have antiquate ventilation when it’s closed.

Did I mention it looks HORRIBLE painted in black?

  • weedfarmer Posted on February 2, 2009

that would make a pritty decent grow box.

  • James Posted on February 2, 2009

That’s amazing. I’d build one, but I tend to show off my computer, so it would be counter-productive. Still, pretty ingenious.

  • :D Posted on February 2, 2009

    id hotbox that

  • Jools Chadwick Posted on February 2, 2009

White box could be some kind of fan pumping air outta the back of the cupboard. With the door closed, i imagine it would get pretty hot in there and KO the tower.
    Just a guess.

Looks like somewhere a madman would lock me in so I’d never be heard from again… But I’m a tad claustrophobic so there you go.

    private porno jerk-atorium

    Perfect comment

Well the concept of having a hidden getaway for a “top secret” computer laboratory sounds cool. However this entire set up makes no sense at all. its like the polish secret service set it up. Oh I want to burn a CD. Let me crawl out of the box open the cabinet install disk crawl back into box…. Now if you replaced the speakers with head phones, recessed that into the wall and made it look like a book shelf then I’d be impressed. By the way you dont wear a tinfoil hat when your in there do you?

  • Straider Posted on February 3, 2009

Ehhhm, where’s the fridge, Coffeemachine and Microwave?

  • the green bastard Posted on February 3, 2009

Speaking as an engineer, whoever built that contraption has absolutely no concept of good design, pretty much what KrazyKrl said. But speaking as a stoner, I’d sit in there all day until either I or the PC overheated.

  • francis Posted on February 3, 2009

not enough place for pizza, this box sucks ;)

  • candy Posted on February 3, 2009

    epic awesomeness

  • Jabroney Posted on February 3, 2009

Holy crap – so this is where lame-ass, dork WoW players meet to share retarded pictures, with even more retarded ‘improvements’

    Thumbs down, stumble-fags

  • Yair Tendler Posted on February 3, 2009

    No Fans?

But anyways maybe if I was younger, lived in a share room with my brother and at night wanted to play World of Warcraft ( Ah no internet back then).

    WHAT A FUCKING LOSER

  • Shadow Keeper Posted on February 3, 2009

It’s pretty neat, but could be better. I’d organize the cords better and put in some vents. I bet it gets really hot in there.

  • Dman Posted on February 4, 2009

Its also right next to the radiator. Im surprised it doesnt ignite immediately upon use!

  • Dicktron 3030 Posted on February 4, 2009

I would have picked more jizz-resistant materials. Vinyl tiling and a chair covered in some sort of disposable plastic bag maybe?

  • Sage Posted on February 4, 2009

I don’t think it’s as bad as everyone seems to think. I doubt it gets incredibly hot and I think that white thing behind the PC is some sort of (weird ass) fan.

I think it’s more about saving space and blocking light than hiding away. Whoever made it is either spoiled or works in the art world because he/she has a WACOM Intuous 3 pen [Classic too, it's cheaper but so much better than the rubber grip].

  • Ged Posted on February 6, 2009

    Nice idea but horribly executed.

  • youwish Posted on April 21, 2009

It doesnt look like a Command center…it looks more like a jerkin it room.
