		<description>The construction technique was also unique. It was built on the high ground on either side of the present bridge and then pushed out to meet in the middle. The technique required extra supports that have now been removed, but can you imagine the work that went into building this thing!?!

During its construction I visited the site, and ran into retired engineers from the UK that drove all the way down to Millau just to see this phenomenon in progress.</description>
