I agree with Corella, but if animals need to die so we have food then at least find a way to end their lives so these poor animals aren’t tortured and have to suffer. Why can’t it be done in a quick and pain free. It makes me sick whenever I see or hear how these poor animals suffer. We need to STOP these kind of treatment.

Why are people associating the slaughter of cows with this type of slaughter? It is not the same in any way shape or form. AND yes cows do suffer when they are slaughtered, they suffer when they are kept in tiny cages their entire lives and when calves are slaughtered in an even more brutal way for veal! These animals are not protected under Russia’s laws so to them its humane but it is not. They are bludgeoned to death with clubs and other torture devices. They don’t just get hit once in the head and its over, they suffer tremendously for no reason. Things like this are why i am a Vegan this type of cruelty is heartless and unjust…

So what! how many cows are killed every day.Most people are against the seal hunt because there cute. So give them a break, seals are not endangered I don’t know about Russia but in Canada they are over 5 million seals on the ice flows in the Gulf of Saint Lawrence.And they hand out yearly quotas based on scientific data. Next thing is that the people that participate in the hunt are not evil they come from small communities witch have very little income and the hunt is very important for them. Financially each hunter make about 10000 during the hole hunt down from 20000 before people start getting angry about killing cute animals. Yes it does look brutal thats because it’s in the open on snow and ice, imagine thousands of cows being slaughtered on ice and snow it would not be pretty. But because most animals are slaughtered behind doors where nobody can see it it’s ok. finally the there more to seals then a fur coat, its called seal flipper pie and boy is it good. I really wised that people would turn to a cause with more importance.

People have been eating cows for centuries now. Does it really matter how they die? Ultimately, we slaughter animals. As long as it is sustainable, i’m ok with it. Just as long as there are measures to make sure the population doesn’t decline or get too out of hand. I mean, you wouldn’t want the seals to go extinct, but I doubt you’d like it very much if we protected them to the point when you couldn’t walk anywhere without stepping on a baby seal.
