Apart from anything else, the risk of infection for these people must be enormous. Therefore, it’s not brave, it’s not cool, it’s just plain stupid.

Wagner: my thoughts exactly! This is a fairly interesting website (I’ve browsed around for a few hours now) but the attitude of the (main?) contributor is lousy.
I agree with Wagner and Minna. If you dislike something so much, it’s pathetic to waste your time attempting to demean it. If you think it’s stupid, write it off as someone else’s ignorance and something that they’ll end up punishing themselves for. There’s no reason to judge someone for their personal choice in aesthetics, so long as it is harming no one else or interfering with their rights.
I don’t think that people being pierced as they please is touching on either of those.

How are girls with piercings “less sexy”? I personally think people can look better with piercings. See, it depends on you’re aesthetic. While I would never want to get quite that many, or such extreme piercings, you shouldn’t judge people just because you don’t like something they put on their body.

I’m not attracted to white guys. That doesn’t mean I’m going to go around calling them a bunch of meth heads or be mean to any of them. Heck, I might give one of the whiteys a chance, and not judge them based on their appearance. The point is, you can’t judge someone based on their aesthetic appearance because everyone finds different things to be attractive. Stop being a bunch of as sholes.

personally i think its over doing it…i have a few piercings myself but if they can go out there everyday and see themselves the way they want to then good for them, that’s all that matters as long as they are happy with themselves, haha and the nose guy is crazy

This would be the sort of article my father would try and show me. I have only my lips pierced (twice) and I have to say, that’s completely over the top – obviously. I do like the one with the girl and the ’sexy’ thing. I think that’s pretty cool…
For those of you who call these people freaks and meth heads… you should think twice.. they could actually be really cool people… i absolutly hate people that say negative things about others for having piercings…. its not your body so why bother judging people on it…. we dont judge you for not having them… how are we any different from anyone who doesnt have them? I actually know a lot of people with piercings that have good hearts and personalities… these people are unique and have different ways of showing it….

I’ve got 12 piercings and I HATE it when people lump me into the category that they call “THAT kind of person.” It doesn’t make me a different kind of person than I was before I got even my first piercing. Also, most people that I know with many piercings, including myself, have never tried drugs! It’s kinda like an alternative to drugs and alcohol and sex to me.
To me it seems a form of self expression, if we all expressed ourselves in the same way what a dull old world it would be.
