These are also used as wind screens…and they’re not exclusive to Poland. You can see them in use on NJ beaches like Gunnison Beach, as well.

The artist’s name is actually Stuart Semple, and he has since created more artist materials which Kapoor is banned from using. He has a “world’s greenest green” and a “world’s yellowest yellow” as well as a “world’s glitteriest glitter” which is made from tiny shards of broken glass and is thus more reflective than any other glitter. Recently, he created his own “world’s blackest black” which is actually a pigment, unlike Vantablack which is a military-grade coating, and therefore more useful to artists around the world.
