Megan, you should think about what you are saying. It makes no logical argument.

Not letting someone choose how they spend a gift is not what this does. It lets the person giving decide what to give. Is there some sort of rule on giving that requires it to be cash? Is it not the person who is giving the right to give whatever they want? Maybe the beggars should let people know they only accept no strings attached money.

Also who is the one judging here? You are doing the same thing you are accusing others of. Stop judging those kind enough to give to the needy and homeless. To quote your post, "..it's really none of our business.

It seems to me that if you're not willing to allow someone to choose how to spend the gift you're considering giving them, you're not really willing to give that gift. There's too much judgment about how homeless people spend their money, it's really none of our business. They're not asking for advice, they're asking for money.
