This is not fake, this family exists. They live in Brazil and have been the subject of a report by local television news. Unfortunately the mother is poor and can not provide the necessary care to children with albinism. This is a fact, not a lie.

ARGHHHHH I can tell that the people who wrote this article have a very Eurocentric and western view of the world. As a Black American who comes from a family with several albinos why is it weird. I don’t believe that any scientist, “REAL” scientist would ever say this was amazing or astonishing. So the article is a fail…. Albinism is a genetic mutation or a gene carried by both parents, not a race there are many black albinos. As far as the idiots that are talking about the texture of the children’s hair hundreds of years of slavery (lots of slave women were raped and their were a few interracial relationships, DUH) saw to it that people of african descent in the Americas come in different hair textures and colors. This is as stupid as the articles about Dark skin people having light skin children (usually titled “Black Parents have White Child”). Both my parents are dark skin and I am very light with sandy brown hair and green eyes, WHAT A mystery ….No its not, it’s called DNA and if both my parents are carriers for these traits and both have distant white ancestry their was a huge chance they could have a child totally with these traits. The same way this black brazilian women and her husband could have albino children since they are both carriers of the albinism gene. I don’t know what is more offensive, this article or the idiots who responded.

SORRY BUT YOU’RE WRONG, this is not fake! This family is REAL, they live in north of Brasil, or like you say “Brazil”. Search for : “Rosmere Fernandes de Andrade, três filhos albinos” in google, and you will see portuguese results. This was noticed in a local television, and after in a big channel here in Brasil. They live in very basic conditions, the local community helps the family. They receive sunblock donation from a local hospital, because the appropriate sunblock for this kind of skin is so expensive for the family conditions.
