Good points “Thales”, but the true harsh reality of the planet going to hell is overpopulation. If one person reduces, recycles and reuses, but a thousand more are born, each consuming resources and creating trash, then eventually it becomes a no-win situation. So anything which prevents humans from dying off is a bad thing for the planet. Like doctors and medicines. Or pacifists who wants to stop wars from culling the population. Or anti-smokers. Pro-vaccinators. As long as humans continue to propagate, the planet has no chance. We are at 7 billion, at 10 billion, how much more will the environment be damaged

“Face Reality”, pretend your mother is sick. Would you just let her die and do nothing about it because you are sure that one day in the future she will certainly die?

Or would you do something to help her, and by helping her, ensuring a better life for both of you and your siblings?

Now, pretend our planet is your mother. It doesn’t matter if it’s going to “die” eventually, we are living here right now, and everyone deserves a better quality of life right now. If the planet is going to explode, if the sun is going to swallow us, if the universe is going to destroy itself, it doesn’t matters, we are here, we exist at this moment.

Environmentalists make me puke! Global warming will take care of all the trash when the ocean levels rise a mile up and flush all the trash into the waters. If you don’t believe in global warming, then the next ice age will bury everything under 2 miles of ice. It happened 10,000 years ago and it will happen again. Then the sun will expand in 4 billion years and the entire planet will vaporize into atoms, nice and clean. So chill out.
