Well, he was a retired CEO and President of a company.. so that means he has tons of stock options and was more than likely already very rich… so this is basically a story of man already rich giving away extra pocket change he won…

It would have been “more inspiring” and interesting had he spend his life working as, say, a janitor or cashier at a fast food restaurant and then decided to give his winnings away.
