This reminds me of a time where punishments to our children were limitless, and a whipping would suffice. Gone are the days to stick a child in the corner and they listen better the next time
So I feel for the parents in trying to be creative in their parenting yet find it rough and unusual to leave a defenseless boy out there alone, did father know best?? Nobody knows. were they aware that the bears live in that habitat? was the young lad hiding? Wishing the parents peace and hoping the boy is safe. sad...very sad situation.

Is it possible something else could have happened to the child, and the story the parents told is not true.

If they really left him in the woods out of their sight could he not still hear them if they called for him after only five minutes of being left alone?

Could the boy maybe have been hiding from them? Then really got lost a little later if the parents moved too far in their search from where he could have been hiding?

Whatever happened to the little boy I am sorry this has happened to him, and if what happened is correctly reported by his parents and they really lost him I am sorry for them too that this turned out the way it has for them and their son.

I hope the child is found safe and healthy.
