He was key in preserving tens of thousands of acres of land all over the United States. Never one for publicity, he quietly did his thing, using his remarkable intellect to identify conservation projects and then figure out how to make it work. He was absolutely obsessed with conservation once he “saw the light”. A truly remarkable person and one that I am proud to have known and worked with. There will never be another like him, a truly unique individual, on many levels.
