Having been on both the Freedom of the Seas and the Celebrity Solstice, I can tell you they are both nice ships. I don’t find the Solstice to be higher end in comparison; in fact the Freedom class is very classy although it caters to families on a grander scale than Celebrity. We find the food and the ambience better on RC, but it is absolutely a matter of opinion.

Happy cruising, and for Spooky (original writer) there are always deals to be had on cruise ships these days…NEVER say never! Hope you get there. 🙂

You people are all morans! Solstice is the largest Premium or Luxury cruise ship ever built! QM2 is NOT a cruise ship… She is an ocean liner, there is a HUGE difference! She was built for the rough Atlantic crossing, cruise ships are built for the calm waters of the seas, such as in the Caribbean, The Med, etc. Oasis of the Seas, Freedom, Liberty, and Independence of the Seas, are NOT luxury cruise ships, they are considered Mass Market ships. Hopefully this clears up the confusion, likely not though.
