Please do not compare Jallikattu with Spanish Bull Fighting, as in a Bull fight a group of trained killers use lances and swords to kill a bull. Here both men and bull are unarmed, the bull has all the force nature has given it and the man his intelligence and speed. The bull is never killed in India. At the most it is like San Fermin in the Pais Vasco or the American Rodeos, but older. The tradition comes from killing of Aristasura bull by Krishna, which is the oldest fight between a bull and a human in human history.
