					<description><![CDATA[Thanks Luke ... it took some time on and off over the Xmas break ...

The creative process with working with these magnets is to have a concept in your head ... and experiment with different techniques in making the base shape ... playing with polarity of the magnets to change or alter the shape ... try different ways to get base shapes (squares, triangles, hexagons, pentagons, and higher polygons and geometric shapes) to fit together to form a new shape.  Then work on sub-components (smaller pieces) to see how well they match with the concept.  The fun things about working with this medium is that sometimes you start off with a concept and end up with something completely different in the end.  I enjoy creating a wide spectrum things from living things to various objects to geometric shapes.  Have a look at my flickr page to see more.  Thanks again.]]></description>

@RodgerD - the Neodymium magnetic balls are poled N and S and divided at the center between the hemispheres.  You are right about not easy to get them to stick in the shape.  There are building techniques called coupled/parallel bonds (balls parallel to one another ... e.g., the top of the bridge tower) and linked/&quot;crystal&quot; lattice bonds (balls in between one another ... e.g., the sides of the hull).  If you have a coupled/parallel string of magnets with poles running N to S and place another coupled/parallel string in the same direction on top, all the magnets will be parallel to (on top of) one another.  If you take the top string and reverse the direction so that it is S to N, then it will bond in between each magnet in the bottom string.  So, the magnets will tell you what is North Pole and South Pole by the way they stick together.  With all the magnetic fields aligned, this ship is one gigantic super magnet.  The nail projections also become attracted to anything adjacent.
