The ancient ruins of Gobekli Tepe were carbon dated to around 9,000 BC. Also, the now submerged structures of Yonguni are thought to be twice as old as the pyramids and approx 3 times their size. Truly sorry.

Creationism and evolution is a false dichotomy designed to divide people. In fact, creationism and evolution can co-exist. God created the heavens and earth and all creatures on it, but he did not make them perfect, since Adam and Eve fell from grace. Rather than create perfect beings, he put in them the ability to adapt and change, ie. evolve. Pushing one and dismissing the other is ignoring the nature of creation, and is designed to divide people into two groups constantly fighting each other.

Besides, I'm sure most religious people will agree that no one exactly knows when the universe was created, and all the failed doomsday predictions should drive home that any specific time cannot be derived from scriptures, since that's not their purpose.
