What he did is a simple trick. He removes the polarizing filter from the screen, cuts pieces of it to fit the lenses and attaches the pieces to them. Just go ahead and search other examples on Youtube. The same can be done with PC monitors as well.

It just baffles me that the guy convinced everyone to believe he actually invented something. All that equipment and workshop are just a show staged very well.
