[...] For a bassist to be able to master his instrument, it is important to go through proper bass guitar ...ng the craft of playing bass guitar entails more than just acquiring knowledge; passion is a prerequisite to mastery.Understanding the instrument will require a person to know its parts, functions, and purpose. After all, the bass guitar is not just a regular guitar that lacks strings. In bass guitar lessons, students learn that that the tonal difference for this type is lower and that the scale is wider than that of a regular six-string. This requires players to have a good listening ear for low frequency sounds. All these factors have to be considered by a musician and maximized to create good music.Playing the bass also requires natural rhythm and timing. Since this instrument is played amidst the running notes that come from regular guitars and keyboards, bassists should be able to focus and perform even with so many notes being thrown around. This is called ear training, a skill which helps a bassist's ears focus on certain melodies and rhythms, making it easier to spot the beat and go with the flow of the music. In a music school, bassists will also learn how to read music. This is one of the most useful skills a musician should develop, especially since most production companies require it of those who seek to form a band. With the right knowledge and skills acquired and polished through bass guitar training from a music school, as well as the drive to make good music, one can easily stand out in the industry.
[...] “If you’re missing a guitarist or two for your band, stop worrying, because the 27-string guitar Ke.... The only trick is learning how to play it. That’s in fact the biggest problem, White House-based Medley had to overcome, as well. “Building this guitar turned out to be the easy part,” Keith explains on his site. “The hard part has been learning to play it. Through two years of bittersweet struggle between myself and these 27 strings, I determined it would not defeat me but would play the music I heard in my heart.” But why would anyone need a 27-string guitar, when most guitarist seem to do very well with just 12, or even 6? Keith says the music he hears in his head is more than can be played on six strings, so after many sketches and nights of contemplation, he came up with this unique 27-string instrument. He claims it’s like playing three instruments at the same time, but that apparently isn’t good enough since he’s now working on a guitar with 34 strings.” w/ photos + videos [...]
