The Creepy Accessories of Undead Ed

If you’re a fan of horror, monster and gore, then you are about to become a big fan of Undead Ed’s work.

There is a lot of disturbing stuff in Ed’s grave of goodies, on Etsy, but if you want to show the world what a hardcore horror fan you are, these freakish rings and bracelets are just what you’re looking for. They’re bloody, creepy, scary, in one word: perfect!

And if you want your toddler to share this disturbing theme, take a look at the cyclops stroller.

Finally, a Women-Only Car Park

Sure, some women have been known o have trouble parking, but it’s safe to say the Chinese did a pretty sexist thing here.

These photos were taken at Wonder Mall, in Shijiazhuang city. According to a mall offcial, the parking spaces in the women only car park will be one meter wider, so women can park without damaging neighboring vehicles. To sweaten the deal, the walls of the car park have been decorated with orange and pink drawings. Yeah, I’m sure ladies will appreciate the gesture.

Let me know what you think.

Maniwa – The Wooden Super Car

I’ve seen a wooden car before, but this is definitely my first wooden super car. And who do you think built it? That’s right, the Japanese.

Maniwa was hand-made by wood craftsmen, for Japanese company Sada-Kenbi. Remarkably, Maniwa is drivable and can accelerate to a speed of up to 80km/h. It has a motorcycle handlebar instead of a steering-wheel, a working stereo and even cool wooden Lambo doors.

The wooden sport car has just one wooden front seat, for the driver, but can accomodate two passengers on the wooden bench in the back. If you’re thinking of buying Maniwa, you’ll be pleased to know it costs only $40,000.

Have a nice drive and try not to smoke at the wheel.

Paul Hazelton Makes Art Out of Dust

I know I’ve said “you can turn anything into art”, but I never imagined someone could actually use household dust as material.

Paul Hazelton collects dust and manages to shape it into incredible works of art. The British artist says his affinity for dust might have something to do with his upbringing in a very clean environment. At one point n his life he noticed a layer of dust on a mask and realized he could pick it up. That was the beginning of an extraordinary dust-shaping career.

Paul works with ordinary household dust, which he gathers from furniture, hanging paintings, pictures, but never from vacuum cleaners. He stores the “precious” matter until he’s ready to mould it. Then he wets it, gives it the desired shape and carefully dries it.

It’s a painful process, but the 43-year-old dust artist loves it.

Chinese Hair-Stylist Showcases Hair-Made Obama Sculpture

To celebrate President Barack Obama’s visit to China, Huang Xin, a talented hairdresser, created a small sculpture of the US head of state from human hair.

This is not the first time Huang Xin captured the attention of the media with his hair-molding talent, he was the man behind the Tiananmen Square model made out of hair. The Chinese hairdresser spent seven days and seven nights making Hairy Obama and used four kilograms of human hair.

The Chinese found many ways to welcome President Obama on his 4-day-visit to China, but Huang Xin’s hair sculpture has to be one of the most original.

Sexiest Swine Flu Protest to Date

Guys will definitely appreciate these photos a lot more than girls, but I’m sure we can all agree the Ukrainian FEMEN group can protest in the most original way.

If you didn’t know anything about FEMEN, they are a group of women from the Ukraine, who protest in the most unusual ways, in order to raise awarness to feminist issues in their country. In an attempt to draw attention on the plight of Ukrainian prostitutes, the group’s members dressed-up as nurses “to cure foreigners of sex-addiction”

On November 9, 2009, the sexy members of FEMEN attracted quite a crowd in Kyiv square, when they appeared dressed in underwear made from swine flu masks. This was their way of protesting against authorities using the flu outbreak to scare citizens before Ukraine’s presidential elections, on January 17.

FEMEN members ackowledged it’s their sexiness that draws attention and admits most people would ignore their protests if they were wearing normal clothes.

I’ve posted some photos of it when I first started Oddity Central and have been wanting to see it first hand ever since.

I hope y’all stick around while I’m gone. :)
