Kids get stuff stuck in their noses all the time, from LEGOs and small marbles to pen caps and bits of paper, but have you ever heard of a child getting a lock pad stuck in their nose? Well, neither had firefighters in Huaihua, China’s Hunan province.

It’s not exactly clear how the young boy managed to get a small combination padlock stuck in his nose, but everyone suspects that he was playing with it, probably trying to cosplay as the Bull Demon King. What we do know is that at some point, the pad lock became stuck and he ended up with a unique bull-ring.

After several attempts to remove the lockpad, the boy asked his parents for help, but they couldn’t dislodge it without causing the boy severe pain and possible injuries. In the end, they decided to seek the help of the local fire department. But even for them, the case presented quite a challenge.

First, firefighters caled the boy down, and after examining the lockpad, they decided that yanking on it or applying too much pressure could cause serious injuries, or even pierce the child’s septum. So they opted to cut through the lock with shears.

Surprisingly, the boy remained calm throughout the entire operation and vowed never to put things in his nose again.
