in the top two photos at least, none of that ammunition is "live". the cartridges are either missing primers or their primers have been "popped", meaning they're useless and couldn't detonate. they also appear to have had the bullet pulled and re-seated, which is usually done to remove the gunpowder. some shells appear to not even have a bullet on the end. without gunpowder and a primer, these are nothing more than pieces of brass and steel and are completely harmless. i've made dozens of these myself for art projects. the "facts" of this story from the Italian media don't seem to support the actual truth, at least as far as i can tell from the photos (although the third photo does appear to show a Chinese AK-47, but it's hard to tell if its been "de-milled", which means certain parts have been cut up or welded to make it permanently unable to fire.) i don't see any live or dangerous ammunition in any of these photos.
