She isn’t “cheap”, she is “frugal”. This is a good thing for the planet, as well as for the person who decides not to be wasteful. My grandparents lived without running water and had a Sears catalog and pile of corn cobs inside the outhouse. Another thing: unless you have a bladder infection, your urine is sterile– i.e. it has no germs in it, unless it has contact with your skin. It turns into ammonia, which is considered a cleaning product. So, those who want to modify this lady’s suggestions might use TP for BMs but re-usable cloth or the handy left-hand for post-urination wiping.

Yes much cleaner and fresher. After all that’s what bidets are for, which is what most of Europe use after going to the toilet.
And what’s wrong with washing clothes by hand- they definately last longer. More people should be wasting less and this planet wouldn’t be on it’s way out. Kay’s cool.

People in the Philippines actually prefer cleaning up with water and soap after using the bathroom instead of just wiping with toilet paper. It just feels a whole lot cleaner.

I completely agree with you, people here are ignorant and judgmental. Using paper towels is indeed wasteful, trees don’t grow overnight. And for anyone who thinks it is unhygienic, Indians and Chinese have this practice since hundreds of years, and we are all ok.

People here must be quite ignorant. I lived in India for ten months in the 1970s, and toilet paper there is almost unheard-of. EVERYone uses water and the left hand to wash the nether regions after bathroom duty. Undoubtedly the same is true in China and vast regions of the world. Probably easily 3-4 billion people never use toilet paper. Paper users are probably in the minority. By the way, the 800 million plus Indians who just use a hand always use the left. The right hand is for eating, e.g. Indians eat anything that is not just liquid with bare hand, like rice with dal or veggies in chapati.

Why even bother to wash or clean up. Just leave it to dry and after walking around a bit, those stuff will fall off. Just avoid any eye contacts with people around you.
