Frankly I can’t imagine how hard it must be for this fella to keep his head up with these things.
This is Lurch, the proud bearer of the world’s largest horns. Lurch is a Watusi bull living in an Animal shelter, whose horns measure 92.25 cm and weigh more than 100 pounds each. He’s quite the attraction in his home state and he’s favorite pass-time is acting as bodyguard for a crippled horse that’s being harassed by fellow horses. He looks amazing doesn’t he?

May 23, 2008
Oh yeah, Pimp my bull!!!!!!!!!!! Where’s the 24in rims and giant speakers?
May 23, 2008
wow, not EVERYTHING that isn’t probable is photoshopped
jeez i wish people would stop saying that
that is pretty sweet
May 23, 2008
definitely photoshop
May 23, 2008
Why is it that almost every weird photo blog post has a comment saying “photoshopped”? I saw a bull like this (possibly even the same one) in a book once.
May 23, 2008
shooped. look at the shadows.
May 23, 2008
Billy.
You should do two things.
1. go back to school.
2. Learn how to photoshop.
3. (ya i said 2..so you can read…wow)
May 23, 2008
Actually its a real species of cattle, I’ve studied them before. Its crazy how they grow huge ass horns.
May 23, 2008
lol how is that photoshopped?
May 24, 2008
After spending several years removing spots from the arses and other inner regions of female pornstars, as well as making motor bike engines look more substantial than they really were, I know Photoshop like a loved one.
To my eyes, these horns are real. If not, it’s the work of a Photoshop god and we should all bow…
May 24, 2008
I agree with you wayne. I have spent the best years of my life working for the government testing the sharpness of nails by inserting them in my penis. And even a novice such as myself can tell these are in fact counterfeit or very very good photocopies.
May 24, 2008
Seriously, whoever said photoshop here is a fuckin moron - you obviously know nothing about photo editing. Anyway - fucking AWESOME horns!!!
May 24, 2008
It’s nat a tuma!
May 24, 2008
i call hoaxies. look at the shadows, the horns dont cast any.
is this how people get famous these days? by lying?
vid or it didnt happen
May 24, 2008
Photoshopped.
May 24, 2008
How can you pull the “shadow card” when clearly the shadows that are present are in the wrong angle see the horns OR it isn’t sunny enough to cast a shadow? Besides, if it was fake, do you really think someone would go to the effort of photo editing THAT many pictures?? I didn’t think so.
May 24, 2008
Just look at the differences between the first and second images. Looks like the “photoshopper” flipped the horns over in the second one!
Either that, or this creature has the amazing ability to not only stand up with all that weight on one end of its body, but it can also rotate its horns!
May 24, 2008
okay, so the horns are real, but that cat on top is definitely photoshopped.
May 24, 2008
Obviously, this isn’t fake. This Cow was featured in the Guinness World of Records. They don’t accept photoshopped records in their book as far as I know…
May 24, 2008
The two first comments claiming that this is photoshopped were probably not really serious. The others might be, which once again lets us see the truth: 50% of all people have an IQ below 100. Then again, they could just be teenagers. Teenagers exempted from IQ altogether. ;T

Shouldn’t the care takers shave them down a bit? That poor guy would have a lot more mobility if they did.
May 24, 2008
wow. i just wanna give the poor thing a neck rub and a head stand…
May 24, 2008
For all that have left comments- I am the proud owner of this Watusi steer and have raised him from a baby. These photos are from different ages and angles. His horns are still growing at 12 years old! He has broken his own Guinness World Record…. He is healthy and very mobile. He was featured in the 2005 Record Book. He gets visitors from all over the world also!
May 25, 2008
Please ignore the above poster I am actually the true owner of this cow and yes I photoshopped him. Sorry for the fake photos.
May 25, 2008
WHATEVER “w”…….I AM the real owner and anyone who wants to know the truth can check out my website at http://www.rockyridgerefuge.com or as I said, check out a 2005 Guinness book!
May 25, 2008
When in doubt… Google.
http://www.lurchandtheherd.com/the-herd/
To all those who assumed it was photoshop’d have a look-see.
May 26, 2008
my thing is -no one whould add anymore weight to this creature by riding him…come on- doesnt her had enought weight to bear. this is not photoshopped…no one cares that much about horns to spend time doing that…it’s not like its a d**k.
May 26, 2008
nice pics, photshopped or not. BUT, please, please, please OG (and all you would be OG’s) when you post stuff like this, tell us where the hell it is! Why doesn’t anybody ever say the important stuff?
May 26, 2008
The people are clearly photoshopped.
May 27, 2008
Photoshopped or not, it’s still photoshopped ;P whoever says anything else is, like sikanrong said, a “fuckin moron”.
May 27, 2008
Actually this bull lives around Mt. Home, Ark. A co-worker of mine cracked up when he saw the pics and without seeing the name of the bull he knew it was Lurch. Here is the owners website. http://www.lurchandtheherd.com/about-lurch/
May 27, 2008
ITS ARIGHT, dont panic everyone, the appropriate lolPic has been created.
May 27, 2008
And I suppose the certificate from Guinness World Records is also photoshopped?

Here in NC, about 40 minutes northeast of Charlotte is a facility called The Lazy Five Ranch. Family owned and operated, they have many species of animals, including a herd of Watusi. I had one try to put his head in my car on one visit but his horns would not allow it. But I did get a very close view of just how big they are. They were not as big as Lurch’s but they were HUGE. It would not surprise me if the males horns weighed 70 to 80 lbs. there. Theres are thinner, longer and more curved. So if you are ever in NC, go visit. Its an awesome place and you can see Watusi’s up close and personal and ask the staff how much those horns weigh.
Go see them at http://www.lazyfiveranch.com
May 27, 2008
I was going to type a comment, but my keyboard was photoshopped
May 29, 2008
This picture isn’t photoshopped. I’ve seen it before in a book (I think in the Guiness book of records; I’m not quite sure).
May 31, 2008
MINE’S LONGER HAHAHA
June 1, 2008
Awesome horns. Seriously though, just do a google search for Watusi bull and you’ll find these things. They’re very real! I think they are related to the longhorn. There are some longhorns by my house and their horns are huge, too.
June 3, 2008
hmm strange that the top picture and the one after that have diffrent angled hhorns i would like an answer to that!
June 11, 2008
Amazing that its neck can support 200 pounds of horn.
June 17, 2008
I, too, get sick of these juvenile declarations of “photoshopped”. If the websites which have numerous pictures AND video of this interesting fellow as well as The Guiness Book of World Records are not evidence enough for these naysayers, there is no help for them. They will live in a perpetual world of cynicism and disenchantment and never realize the wonders they have missed.
June 23, 2008
thanks for telling the truth W. Its kinda rude of u to trick all these people into believing that its a real bull. these pictures are BULLshit!!
June 27, 2008
k, not photoshopped, but i do wonder what functionality those horns have. I dont think they have any function other than making that bull’s neck muscles extremely strong.
June 27, 2008
To the doubter: http://kr.youtube.com/watch?v=17oYFMFHblo
I thought it looked photoshopped as well, but a look at this video definitely proves it’s no fake.
It’s amazing how many people are willing to call “bullshit” without the faintest knowledge of the true story. It took me 10 seconds of searching to find this video. Methinks the naysayers are trolls.
This bull is amazing, by the way. Nice post.
June 27, 2008
Totally photoshopped. I can tell from the pixels and from having seen many shops in my time.
June 30, 2008
Definitely not Photoshopped… That’s a Paint Shop Pro job if ever I saw one!
June 30, 2008
OK, city boys:
1. Watusi cattle are a genuine breed (lots of them in Texas, they make great pasture ornaments but are not that tasty) and commonly have huge horns (both bulls and cows), although Lurch’s horns are on the large end of the scale.
2. Unlike other breeds of cattle, Watusi horns are not entirely solid; though their weight is substantial, they are lighter than they appear to be, and the neck muscle of cattle are, of course, substantial as well.
3. While not a Photoshop expert, I can assure you that there is no need to have faked these pictures, as the subject is a perfectly normal-appearing example of his breed.
July 2, 2008
Huge ass horns?
Firstly, it’s a cow, and secondly, the horns are on its head.
anyway it’s a shoop so it’s irrelevant anyway.
July 3, 2008
Are you all frickin fucktards!
in the first ones the shadow doesnt show or the head is cut off
and in the last one there is clearly the shadow of his horns.
i bet if there was no such thing as photoshop the internet would be a much more peaceful place
July 3, 2008
Now, lets get one thing straight, why do you people assume that something of the unnatural has to be photoshop. This is a normal cow of his breed. I think it about time for the people that are claiming this is photoshop to stop being on the computer more than their lives. I sugest to go out, smell the fresh air and while your at it you pimple popping pansies, go to the library and do some research.
July 5, 2008
Exactly! The first thing I did was to check the shadows.
July 6, 2008
im not saying its shoped but look at the horns some of his horns bend up and others bend down of the same cow and look at the pic with the women and the one legged cow behind her pretty funny
July 6, 2008
Your icon of Sephiroth is awesome.
July 6, 2008
Thanks wednesday
July 6, 2008
i have seen the f#$$#in bull in real life it is not photo shoped if you think it is photo shoped you are stupid!!! im serious it is located in gassville AR!! the place it is located at is called rocky ridge refuge!
July 7, 2008
wow… this fella really got horned xD
July 8, 2008
in case you guys hadnt realized, the excess of people claiming photoshops has made it a common joke to post.
July 10, 2008
painted!
July 10, 2008
i’d say real
the markings on the horns would be too hard to recreate perfectly at the angles shown. definitely an interesting find!
July 24, 2008
This is in mountain home, ar. They are not photoshopped…it is free to go visit Lurch however please make a little donation to the owner so she can keep some of the expenses under control. There are zebra’s and other animals there as well.
July 28, 2008
this is a real breed you bumbling idiots! I am so sick and tired of every time there is something out of the ordinary that most of you uneducated dolts have not seen being labeled as photoshop. Stop spending all day making Lol cats and watching porn and get an education. If the Guinness record or the video did convince you, you should go kill yourself because you are going to die alone in your parents basement. Save everyone else from your idiocy please!
August 5, 2008
If you look at the pictures the horns are in fact all at the same angle. The first one merely looks like it is different because the shot was taken from below with the bull looking down a little. All the other shots are from straight on or above so the angle of the horns looks different. Furthermore there are in fact shadows in the first picture. Why do you think it is so much darker from right about 1/4″ above the shoulder blade then back along the length of its body. Before anyone says it I am not talking about the white.
August 8, 2008
okay the pictures are NOT photoshopped.. the horns are real.. my response is to the person who stated that the horns serve no purpose to the animal.. actually the horns act as an inside air conditioner to the animal. On hot days, the horns fill with blood to make the body temperature on the animal drop, and when the animal has cooled down, the blood will then go back into the body.
August 10, 2008
Did you ever notice that people that say “photoshopped”
Know nothing about the program or the subject matter..
it’s always the first response of an ignorant person

I met Lurch & Janice. And it’s not fake. Look at the lurch and the herd website and see for yourself that Ellen DeGeneres featured the Rocky Ridge Refuge TWO times on the show.
If I didn’t see if myself, I would’ve screamed photoshop too. But now, I believe! I did not ride lurch nor did my kids. He was being shy, it was a hot day and many of the animals didn’t want to come down the hill to the dirt road. I was amazed at how all the different animals got along! My six year old though Lurch looked sad b/c he had no friends “his size”. then she saw the water buffalo and realized he did have a big bud.
Call the Mountain Home AR chamber of Commerce. They will confirm for you. Or watch the Ellen clip. It’s amazing to say the least!!!
August 21, 2008
Also wanted to add that he is in Gassville, not Mountain Home. But the towns are very close to each other and both in Baxter County. I met him two weeks ago while visiting my in-laws.
September 4, 2008
Just saw this dude on Ellen, you dildos.
September 4, 2008
Actually for all those who think is is photoshopped… This bull was just on the Ellen show for having the World Record of largest horns in the world. Come on people, actually look into something before you bump it it to “Photoshopped” I mean really…
September 4, 2008
That is one horny bull!
September 4, 2008
This bull was on Ellen. It’s in an Arkansas pet rescue ranch. It’s not photo shopped.
September 5, 2008
“Shopped, look at the shadows” i suppose the bull is as thin as his shadow as well.
September 5, 2008
this was not photoshopped!! look it up on the ellen degeneres show!!!
September 5, 2008
saw it on ellen, its fuckin real
September 10, 2008
i will only believe this if one of the pics had someone grabbing the point of one of the horns other wise its shopped….it would need a much bigger neck to support the fuckers
