Well, yes, a LEGO master that goes by the internet name of Crowkillers managed to build a 2009 Chevrolet Camaro using only advanced LEGO Technic pieces. Although it’s impossible to see it in the photos, the LEGO Technic pieces allow this Chevy Camaro to move around without the use of a hand.

 Uri Geller, one of the world’s most famous spoon-benders, also created one of the most unusual cars you’ve ever seen. Covered with over 5,000bent pieces of silverware, Geller’s Spoon Cadillac is a tribute to his extraordinary talent. 1000 spoons and forks were donated by children from Israel, India, Great Britain and others are collection items, touched or used by famous personalities.

If he were to drive his Spoon Cadillac, instead of keeping it on display at the Beaulieu National Museum, in England, Uri Geller would have some serious trouble getting it washed and waxed. Some of the pieces on this custom-built 1974 Cadillac were bent by Uri Geller himself, using his incredible brain-power, while the others were bent artificially by him and his friend Avi Pines, a famous Israeli sculptor.

Bob Dullam managed to build a perfect replica of Batman‘s fantastic vehicle, the Tumbler, which he used in both Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. The awesome part is he built it in his home garage nothing but pictures and some features from the DVD. He worked on the Tumbler all buy himself creating the parts out of scratch, except for the tires, engine, brakes and rims.

The whole thing cost him between 50 and 70 thousand dollars and even if he could probably sell it with a lot more, the thought never even crossed his mind, “you wouldn’t want to sell this if you had one, believe me” says Bob.

He’s now working on a batpod and a TDK suit for himself.

I guess you could say this is a fast way to an early grave. I don’t know who came up with this crazy idea but that’s one vehicle I wouldn’t like to take for a test drive, call me crazy but a coffin on wheels isn’t my idea of a “sick” ride. This “genius” could have at least picked a nicer coffin for his coffin-mobile, it wouldn’t have made it more creepy but he would have scored more points for class.

Land Rover celebrated its 60 years anniversary through a large car sculpture.

During the Festival of Speed held in Goodwood, between July 11 and July 13, Land Rover celebrated 60 years since the company was founded and they erected a 34-meters high sculpture that featured cars produced by the British manufacturer and the latest model, the Land Rover LRX on top. This Land Rover car sculpture is the work of acclaimed artist Gerry Judah.

American auto company Aptera Motors proposes a new solution to the very present fuel problem. Its amazing tricycle-style vehicle runs 100 kilometers on 1 liter of fuel, at a speed of 88.5 km/h. As you can see from the photos, Aptera‘s creation looks interesting at least and it’s quite a beast, reaching 100 km/h in just 10 seconds.

The Aptera trike has these amazing performances due to its extremely low weight, streamed body line and advanced hybrid propulsion systems. You can place an order for an Aptera wonder car on the company’s official page, with just a $500 advance. The car costs around $30 000 and you’ll be able to jump behind the wheel in a year after you’ve placed the order. For this price you get GPS, satellite radio and a DVD player included. Quite a sweet deal, but is the world ready to try something as revolutionary as Aptera‘s machine?

How would you like a ride in this bad-boy? Cool idea if I may say so, good for business, those New-York cabs all look the same, so any modification to make one stand out is a welcome one. Wonder if it’s really still a working cab, I’d like to take it for a ride.

This 4 tonnes vehicle was created by Roush Technologies and it specializes in racehorse and camel training.

It might look look just a big can, but this is a piece of high-tech machinery able to monitor racing animals at speeds of up to 60 miles per hour. The nameless vehicle has some kind of enclosure in front of it, resembling a horse starting stall, in which animals can walk and gallop while being monitored by veterinarians and racing experts. It has a centered seat for the driver and two more for a racing specialist and a veterinary expert. Onboard technologies include heart, oxygen, breathing and fitness monitoring to make sure they are in top shape for official races.

Personally I think it’s a stupid, worthless vehicle, but I guess there’s some serious money in races…

A fountain in Rome holds a car in the air.

This unusual fountain set up in Rome, Italy is the work of Spanish artist Juan Galdeano who wanted to make a statement that would hopefully draw attention to the issue of global warming. The fountain was built to look like it’s sustaining a hatchback Seat Ibiza, when in reality the car is being supported by an intricate installation. Let’s face it, that would have to be quite a powerful jet of water to sustain the car. The fountain is available to the public from June 5 to August 10.

KAZ is an Italian-Japanese joint project to make an electric limousine.

Keio Advanced Zero-Emissions vehicle, that’s what KAZ stands for. It took 5 years to build and cost $4 million but the result is more than impressive: it has 6 electric engines powering the limousines six wheels, each producing 74 horse-power and 74 lb-ft. of torque. That means this baby goes from 0 to 62mph in just 7 seconds, reaches a quarter mile in 15 seconds and has a top speed of 193.3 km/h.

It’s is powered by 84 lithium batteries that can carry the car for 186 miles on a single charge. It might not be the best-looking car out there but it’s environment-friendly and it runs perfectly.

Now that’s as real horse power as you’ll ever get!

When you first look at the Naturmobil it resembles a normal, modern stagecoach, but as soon as you see the horse in the back, standing on some kind of treadmill, you start to sense something is fishy. The Naturmobil is the ultimate horse-powered vehicle, because unlike other modern cars it’s powered by an actual horse. Naturmobil is a symbol of helping to save the environment and proves how easy it is to build a vehicle that doesn’t need fossil fuel, all you need is a strong horse and a bit of imagination. That brings us to how the Naturmobil functions: you get the horse in the back on the conveyor belt, a pneumatic system lifts the front a little so the horse starts walking naturally. The power of its walking goes into a 36-gear gearbox and makes the car reach a speed of 25-30km/h, but on a long straight road it can even reach 70-80km/h. And don’t worry about the horse, the vehicle’s official site says, sensors in the suspension sense when the temperature of the horse gets to high, or it gets to tired, a DC motor steps in and runs Naturmobil at a constant speed. The horse also has several food and water recipients and even a doo-doo disposal system, so he’s quite comfortable.

I’m really a fan of environment-friendly vehicles, so any prototypes, no matter how wacky they are, have my deepest appreciation!

Coolest stunt I’ve seen in a while.

This driver must be crazy to attempt such a dangerous car stunt. Sure simply walking on a string while holding a pole as balance is no easy feat either, but driving a car is on a whole other level, ant the height would certainly kill the guy. I haven’t been able to find out where this took place but it must be some kind of new record.
