Mexican College Puts Up Wooden Wall at Graduation Party to Separate Paying Attendees from Those Who Didn’t Pay

Mexico has decried President Donald Trump’s intention of building a wall across the US-Mexico border to keep illegal immigrants out, but one Mexican college recently used that exact same tactic at a graduation party, erecting a high wooden wall to separate students and relatives that had paid to attend, from those who hadn’t.

Photos of the bizarre wall separating an events hall into two areas have been doing the rounds on social media for a week, sparking quite the debate between people who see the measure as discriminatory, and those who see nothing wrong with keeping students and relatives who didn’t want to pay from eating and partying for free.

Iowa Restaurant Charges Trump Voters Higher Cover

Stella, one of the most popular restaurants in Iowa City, Iowa, has been slammed with dozens of negative reviews on sites like Yelp and Google for discriminating against Trump voters by charging them higher cover.

Stella is located in Johnson County, which is one of the 6 out of 99 Iowa counties that voted for Hillary Clinton in the recently concluded U.S. presidential election. Donald Trump won the state of Iowa, and now the owners of Stella apparently want to get back at those who voted for him by asking them to pay a higher entrance fee, or cover charge, than Clinton or independent candidate voters. According to several 1-star online reviews, this past weekend Trump voters had to pay a $10 cover charge, while Clinton voters only had to cough up $5 to gain entrance. The bizarre payback practice has since been described “disgusting” and “unprofessional”.

Shanghai Shopping Mall Creates Extra-Large Parking Spaces for Women

A shopping mall in Shanghai recently sparked controversy with its special, super-sized parking spaces for female drivers. The pink-colored spots are six meters long by three meters wide, making them half a meter larger than normal parking spaces. Although mall staff insist that they are intended to make parking safer and more convenient for women, plenty of netizens have deemed the move sexist.

The four pink-colored spaces on the B1 level of Wandu Center, on Xingyi Road, feature the image of a woman, similar to the ones used to designate restroom doors, on the floor and the walls behind them are to be painted pink for easy identification. Men are obviously not allowed to use these spots, but strict action won’t be taken against those who do, at least not at first. “Whether the ladies-only spaces will be properly used still depends on public awareness,” said mall employee Li Ming.
