Woman with Severe Face Rash Claims She Hasn’t Removed Makeup in 22 Years

A 37-year-old woman from Jilin, China, has gone viral after revealing that she hadn’t properly removed makeup in over two decades, which ultimately caused a severe rash on her face.

Known only as Gao, the Chinese woman took to social media to share her story as a warning to others to properly cleanse their face regularly after putting on makeup. She herself allegedly failed to do so for over 20 years, which ultimately led to a serious allergic reaction that left her face inflamed. Gao said that she becme fascinated with her mother’s lipstick in her early teenage years and started wearing makeup when she was 15. However, she found removing the makeup “too troublesome,” instead going by the principle, “why bother removing the makeup if you’re going to put it back on the next day?” So she only rinsed her face with water before going to bed and applied more makeup the next day.

Former Beauty Queen Claims Skincare Products Ruined Her Skin and Modelling Career

A former beauty pageant winner from Guinea has taken a Swiss skin-care product company to court for allegedly ruined her once healthy complexion and ruining her modelling career.

25-year-old Mariama Diallo, who previously won Miss Guinea, Miss West Africa and participated in the Miss World pageant, had a successful modelling career until three years ago, when trying a new skincare product left her face full of blemishes and scars. She has been struggling to find work since 2018, as the healing process has been very slow and no company would hire her. Diallo has now taken the manufacturer of the product she claims ruined her career to court.
