A Czech woman got her 15 minutes of international fame after entering the ice rink during a youth hockey game to protest a series of penalties against her son’s team.
A series of viral videos shot at an ice rink in Prague earlier this month show a furious woman going out on the ice during a hockey game between the “United Selects” and “Ice Mammoths” and arguing with the referees about the number of penalties awarded against her son’s team. After a short shoving match with one of the referees, the woman is forcefully pushed off the ice, but continues to hurl insults and flip the bird to the referees, before walking out on the ice once again. She is once again escorted out before the video cuts off.

The woman’s passionate outburst attracted international attention, with multiple versions of the videos going viral on a number of social networks like Instagram, Facebook and X, and inspiring hundreds of hilarious comments.
“Awesome, end up going viral and your kid can never play in this league again, thanks mom!” one person commented.
“What’s the Czech version of a Karen? I’d melt into the ice if this was my mom,” someone else wrote.
“That poor kid will never forget this,” an Instagram user commented.
In the woman’s defence, her son’s team was trailing by 9 goals to 0, which she attributed to a series of penalties awarded unfairly by the referees.
