I remember a time when everyone of my friends wanted to get a pitbull as a pet, just so they can look cooler, and brag about how dog their dogs were. Now staring at these pictures I realize Africans are at whole other level, anyone of those pets, be it the hyenas, baboons or the python would make a pitbull beg for mercy.
Still it looks very cruel, taking wild animals, slapping a huge chain on them and using them as pets, it doesn’t look at all natural.

I seen a few of these images before. They must have those Hyenas trained SUPERBLY! Because they have the strongest bite of any land animal. baboons are just plain psycho and snakes? well fuck snakes..lol
These are the copyrighted images of South African photographer Pieter Hugo, taken from his latest book Hyena and Other Men. The men depicted are Nigerian street performers and medicine men that travel around with these animals to ‘prove’ the potency of their magic and medicine. They are licensed by the Nigerian government and treat their animals with love and respect.
Love and respect then why the sticks??!!!
Well I think those are some of the chubbiest hyenas I have ever seen, so at least they must be fed well. Everytime I have seen pictures of hyena in the wild or videos, they are always soooo skinny and ugly.
Thats animal crulety, yeah of course their fed well, people that keep them dont want THAT sort of publicity. where do they get them from anyway???
Which is the baboon, and which is the nigger?
Herr Groobe,
Sig Heil man, you are a number one asshole, you’re the damn monkey. Crawl back into your hole.
Herr Goobe, I dear you to walk up to the nigerian and say that.
Can you say “Lunch Time Boy”
These animals are very dangerous and temperental. The fact that the owners arn’t dead shows that they must be excellent trainers. These are not the kind of animals that you can beat into submission cause they would end you if you tried. Good animal trainers always take care of their pets. And the whole tough guy look in the pics, its just for show since these were professionally taken pictures.
1. Beautyfull animals i like the Pictures very much
2. Its Sieg with ie @Observer
3. Yes im from Germany
4. Grobbe you are a motherfucking asshole. Cause of bullshit like this people worldwide think we are all nazis. And now get lost you scum
mfg
What’s the difference between “slapping” a chain on one of these animals and putting any other animal on a leash, a tether, in a cage, “breaking” them, or any other form of forced submission?
another level indeed! it aint cruel when they live in your back yard. baboons have been used in africa as pets for thousands of years. now hyenas? well thats a whole new upgrade. i thought the same thing when i saw these pics pit bulls and rocwielders are like gerbals and hamsters as pets in comparison to these animals.

I WANT ONE! The Hyena that is. Baboons throw poop.
alright smart people listen… you keep saying if they love and respect them then why sticks? well most of you are forgetting these are wild animals. you kinda need a stick just incase they pull somthing….im shure they still love and care for these animals.
Herr Groobe, its a laugh you see them that way, some of your people treat their animals as ‘lovers’- some of your people are more animal-like. Not all though.
The stick and chains, hey these are big and wild beast, the keepers are wise to not take chances to endanger other people’s even animals’ lives incase the pets get moody or unpredictable.
This is not the 1st time I get to look at the same pics, its true, these africans are at a whole upper level. The pics are awesome.
Just think, would you feed your cats and dogs with spoon and fork just to show you respect them? They relate to things differently. Be real.
