Monkeys at the Spa

Everyone loves relaxing at the spa, even monkeys. The Japanese Macaques of Jigokudani hotsprings in Nagano have become famous for their visits here every winter. they love bathing in the hot water of the volcanic spa. Although they can whithstand temperatures of up-to -15 degrees Celsius thet are most known for the ridiculous amount of time they spend at the spa.

Show Your Kids The Real World

If you’re one of those parents who want to show their offsprings what the real world is like, from an early age, than here are some great Christmas toys for them. Deadly car accidents, riots, train wrecks, man-slaughter, theft and more are all available for your children. Not the kind of present I’d buy my kids, but maybe there are people out there who are interested.

Office Creativity

We all know how boring office life can be. And don’t give me that “not my life, I work my ass-off every day”, I watch The Office, ok? Anyway boredom brings out the creativity in people, especially when they’re at work, and they come-up with the most ingenious things. Check out this cool but “lethal” weapon for example:

How to Make an Alcoholic Ice-cream

As you probably know alcohol doesn’t normally freeze, but as it turns out not even strong drinks like vodka, brandy and whisky can’t whitstand extreme cold. So if you want to enjoy a nice cold, alcoholic ice-cream, take a boutle of booze at -55 degrees Celsius and wait…preferably inside.

The Netti Pot Nasal Solution

Have you ever tried pouring salt water into your nose? No, not for fun, but to cure a runny nose or treat sinusitis. Most people have never heard about Netti Pot, but this is an ancient and simple Ayurvedic remedy used especially by Yoga practitioners.

The Netti Pot method basically consists of pouring slightly salted water into one of your nostrils and allowing it to clean the sinuses until it comes out your other nostril. It might seem a little awcward at first, but after a while you’ll get used to it.

Check out the video at the bottom to see how Netti Pot works.

Ain’t Indifference a Bitch?

I’ve seen people (drunks) pass-out in public places before, on benches, in parks, on the sidewalks, but never on the street, where they could get run-over by passing cars. I don’t know if this girl is drunk or sick, but the fact that no one even bothers to roll her over to the sidewalk is just disgusting. Oh yeah, the guy on the bike stops and covers her up with an umbrella…wtf is that about, he couldn’t check if she was ok but he cared that she was getting wet? And she was on the damn street, she was gonna get wet anyway

This must happen very often in China, otherwise I can’t explain why they just ignore the poor girl like that.

The PayDay Toilet-Seat

When I first saw this original toilet I said to myself “this might just be the closest I ever get to shitting money”. The coins and dollar bill are very realistic and make for a nice touch in decorating the bathroom. If you like it, just look for the Payday toilet-seat on the major online shopping sites, it’s 60 bucks.

How Is This For a Gravestone?

Now here’s something you don’t see very often in a cemetery, a naked woman. And she’s sculpted on top of somebody’s grave too. Nice piece of artwork and the perfect company for the afterlife if you ask me. When I go, that’s exactly the grave stone I want.

How Five Years Can Change a Person

Five years may seem like a blink of an eye but this period can really leave some serious marks on a person’s body. Take this guy, Michael Campbell, for example. Here are some photos of him taken when he got arrested back in 2003. Not the type of guy you’d normally see working in a bank, but at least he looks human. Scroll down a bit and you’ll find some new mug-shots, taken in 2008, six weeks ago, after a new arrest. He has been keeping himself busy hasn’t he?

Meet a Superwoman

Doctors can’t really explain why jessica Cox was born with no hands. None of the prenatal tests her mother took showed there was anything wrong with her. And yet she was born with this rare congenital disease, but also with a great spirit.

Jessica started using her legs for things most of us can only do with our hands, from a very young age. She learned how to eat, how to write and throughout her childhood she got involved in activities like dancing, swimming and gymnastics. She took up tae-kwan-do at the age of 10 and she got her black belt at 14. She has a no-restrictions driving license, she flies planes and she can type 25 words a minute.

Jessica Cox is certainly not to be pitied, if something she should be envyed because she has done some things many of us will probably never do, and she did it with no hands.

Now That’s Gangsta!

This guy is the real deal man. He probably can’t afford a kick-ass ride but that doesn’t mean he can’t pimp the ride he CAN afford. Check out the cool sound system this little gangsta is dragging along, I love it. The tricycle isn’t too bad either.

Aaron Fotheringham – Extreme Wheelchair Athlete

Impossible is nothing!

I love that motto and it fits Aaron Fotheringham perfectly. He’s a 17-year old Extreme wheelchair athlete, competing against BMX riders in skate-park competitions. Fotheringham suffers from Spida Bifida and has been spending his life in a wheelchair since the age of 8. As a young kid he used to watch his brother ride his BMX at the skate-park and one day he took his advice and started riding in his wheelchair. He loved it so much he never stopped since. He got a new, lighter wheelchair, with four-wheel suspension that allowed him to perform most of the tricks BMX riders perform.

In 2006 Aaron Fotheringham ranked forth in a BMX competition in Sunny Springs Skate Park. He has suffered many injuries while practicing his tricks although he first tries them out on cushions and on hard plastic sheets before performing them on skateboard ramps.

Aerocar – Drive Through the Sky

Finally, a car that really flies.

Aerocar was invented by Moulton “Molt” Taylor in 1956 and got patents both as a road vehicle and as an aircraft that same year. After the original prototype Moulton built three other flying cars, three of which still exist today.  Aerocar is made-up of a small car and a trailer the wings and the fuselage. As you can imagine the car’s engine is pretty powerfull so maybe you can use it in races, with its looks, the opposition won’t know what hit them.

It’s pretty incredible that a flying vehicle has been available in real life for so long, and we only saw similar stuff in sci-fi films. If you’re looking to buy a car like the Aerocar, you might want to visit Aerocarforsale there’s one on sale. If you do buy an Aerocar, remember where you first read about it, fly over and take for a flight.

Citysope – Faceted Art

Created by Marco Hemmerling, a talented German designer, Cityscope is a faceted art installation, presented at the Plano8 architectural festival, in September. Located in Cologne, Germany, the installation reflects parts of the buildings around it, offering a frafmented perception of the surroundings.

Hemmerling describes its creation as an urban kaleidoscope that offers a different perspective on the environment with every step you take. Cityscope is covered by radiant foil that reflects images in different colors, depending on daylight. At night the surface of the art installation becomes transparent and it is lit from inside.

Exotic Delicacies

I must confess I’m a big fan of Asian cuisines, but these photos really kill my appetite. They may be crunchy and full of protein, bugs simply have no place on my menu. If you like’em though, you’ll definitely love these photos:
