Turkish University Course to Prepare Students for Alien Encounters

If alien conspiracy theories are your thing or you simply believe in extraterrestrial life and eagerly await the first contact, you’ll feel right at home at Akdeniz University in Turkey. This educational establishment, based in the province of Antalya, has made a course called “Ufology and Exopolitics” part of its latest curriculum. Its aim is to get students ready to give a proper welcome to visitors from space, which tutor Erhan Kolbaşi believes to have already touched down multiple times.

Practical preparations and interstellar diplomacy are only part of the course focus. As Kolbaşi told the Dogan News Agency, students will also learn about alleged government cover-ups of alien activity on Earth. Kolbaşi, who serves as deputy chair of Istanbul-based Sirius UFO Space Sciences Research Center, claims that fiber optic cable, microchips and night vision devices are technologies we have because of information collected at UFO crash sites.

“We believe representatives from the world and extraterrestrial civilizations will soon be making official contact with each other. We think they will be in an open and mass contact. [It will be the] biggest change seen in the history of the world,” Kolbaşi told the Turkish news agency, adding that he expected this contact “within 10 or 15 years.”

The university tutor blames a specific entity for depriving humanity of knowledge related to alien activity on Earth. He names as the culprit a purportedly secret organization called Majestic 12 (MJ-12), which has been keeping visits from outer space a secret by any means necessary, murder included. This organization was allegedly established by U.S. President Harry Truman for the purpose of protecting national interests.

MJ-12 has become the stuff of legend and invariably sits at the heart of UFO conspiracy theories. Some have tried to debunk the myth and get to the bottom of the whole thing, but the mystery is nowhere near solved and this remains a highly complex matter. The FBI studied the first documents to mention MJ-12 as part of an inquiry involving and U.S. Air Force Office of Special Investigations and declared the following on its Vault website:

“In 1988, two FBI offices received similar versions of a memo titled “Operation Majestic-12…” claiming to be highly classified government document. The memo appeared to be a briefing for newly-elected President Eisenhower on a secret committee created to exploit a recovery of an extra-terrestrial aircraft and cover up this work from public examination. An Air Force investigation determined the document to be a fake.”

So whether you’ve always wanted to get a degree in alien conspiracies, or just want to take a few lessons in interstellar diplomacy, now you can.
