Korean Girl Removes Make-up after Two Years

Doctors recommend women remove their make-up every night before they go to sleep, in order to prevent damage to their skin, but a young South-Korean girl chose to wear her make-up mask full-time, for the last two years.

20-year-old Bae Dal-mi first discovered make-up when she was just 14. You could say it was love at first brush, and ever since then, the young Koream developed her make-up talents to the point where she became so dependent on it that she didn’t want to remove it anymore. As she kept applying ever-thicker layers of make-up on her face, the mirror became the most important item in Bae’s life and she declares “I wanted to look perfect at all time, I even slept with the make-up on.” Shae wasn’t satisfied with her appearance, and said she wanted to have plastic surgery in 10 different places.

For the last two years, the young girl never used make-up removers, so her mother, exasperated by Bae’s behaviour, contacted a TV station and told them Bae’s incredible story. During a variety show, dermatologists managed to convince Bae Dal-mi to finally remove the layers of make-up, and after a specialized check-up they found her skin was two times older than her actual age. All because of an obsession with beauty…

    Asian girls are so vain.

I hope this girl learns her lesson and start loving herself.

High chance this is a mental disease.

  • Lovely Willow Posted on May 3, 2011

Dont tell me she doesnt remove them even when she’s bathing???

  • Mike Posted on May 4, 2011

    Lie, lie, lie…

    It’s all lie…

the left and the right picture definitely diffrent…

i know that the right picture from a movie, but the title i forget…

Don’t generalize Asian girls by saying that they’re vain.
What about white girls? or black girls? They’re not vain too? Sheesh.

I feel bad for her, and all these (especially SoCal girls, but males too) so obseesed with their appearance. These parents – who pay for BREAST ENLARGEMENT surgery – for their TEEN-AGE daughters are insane. ‘She said it’d make her feel better,’ is what one mother I recently saw on a doc about just this say. Excuse me, IDIOT; let your daughter buy them HERSELF! But, more important – HELP HER DEVELOP SOME FRAKKIN’ SELF-WORTH. Shameful.

Only Asian girls are vain? Really???

The largest domestic market for skin care is the US with annual sales of approx $5 billion, other cosmetics excluded……… (not surprising…)

  • Yash Hooda Posted on May 13, 2011

he left and the right picture definitely diffrent…

  • Jahangir Posted on May 21, 2011

Hope she will learn lesson from this, actually excessive usage of “anything” is definitely not good.

  • mojo Posted on May 31, 2011

    Okay, she doesn’t take baths.

  • a person Posted on June 19, 2011

Excessive usage of -anything- isn’t bad. Many people who have taken things beyond what many would call normal limits achieved fantastic and wonderful things.
However, beyond that, the flaw many of you seem to be getting at and failing to is the concept of honesty. This woman is a liar, like so many. To think that you are looking at a mask of a person, all the time, for no valid or acceptable reason is disgusting to say the least.

How weird! I can (well, partly!) understand why she would always appear WITH make-up, but not removing it at all, even when no one can see her, that’s silly. Now her skin is destroyed, because it spent so much time unable to “breathe” normally (yex, even the skin needs to breathe).

one more question: am I the only one who sees something else which shows that there’s something wrong about this girl? What about her ugly fake blond hair? She is Korean, black-eys, black-haired…and i feel sorry to notice thta, once again, the so-called “coloured girls” dream to look more scndinavian. Which is silly, useless (she looks more like an alien that like a European girl) and above all dangerous. What message are all those people sending? That beauty is white, caucasian?
First, it’s all wrong, black people, Asian people too can look pretty. Then, what they are doing is useless, its SHOWS that this is not her real hair. To speak the truth, pink or blue would not look more abnormal that this artificial yellow colour, since she is born to have black hair.

People like this girls, and like many celebrities (such as Beyonce, J-Lo or Mariah Carey) are sending a terrible message: that women shouls “white up” themselves, get, somme fake-looking caucasian hair, wear colour lenses, enlighten their skin…and then, claim that looking so weird, and being unproud of one’s origins is beauty.

I don’t think it’s possible for her skin to be older than herself. It can appear that way, but it’s not actually possible.

  • Dudester Posted on June 25, 2011

Why aren’t these girls been helped by ME!!! I would love and cherish them just enough for them not to feel the need to resort to such idiocy. They need my love wand now and pronto!!!

they can hear, and see what your visually thinking

the reason alot of asians have completely expressionless faces, only associate with asians and dont associate with non asians very much is to avoid accidentally revealing that they can read read minds, if all over a billion asians were to show facial expressions all the time just as much as non asians, associate with non asians much more, and be much more friendly and talkative, then alot of them might accidentally reveal that they can read minds by accidentally showing a facial expression or dirty look when someone thinks, or visually pictures something in their mind they dont like or find astonishing or funny, and if they were all to associate with non asians alot more there would be alot more people around for them to accidentally show facial expressions when those other people think things they dont like, so they only associate with asians so there wont be anyone around for them to see that and have any accidents happen in the first place

think about it, its not normal how alot of them act, and the entire way they act is all to hide their mind reading abilities, it makes perfect sense to do all of that to hide that they can read minds, because all of that is the perfect way to do it!
every single asian on the planet is hiding their mind reading abilities, they value hiding their mind reading abilities more then their own lives!
thats why nobody knows about it!

try thinking, best yet visually picturing in your mind something something absolutely crazy as you possibly can when you are around asians, and try looking for asians who give people particular looks, especially dirty looks for what appears to be for completely no reason, that is them giving people looks when they hear and visually see someone thinking something they dont like, find funny or astonishing
it still happens despite them having completely expressionless faces all the time, its not uncommon!

i know this sounds crazy, impossible, and completely unbelievable, BUT IT ISNT CRAZY WHEN ITS TRUE

The left and right picture are the same girl =_= it might look a bit different because of the pounds of make up, and she was wearing eye-enlarging contacts in one of them. It’s not two different people, but her intention was to make herself look different since she wasn’t satisfied with her actual appearance.
Also, you can’t say that anything was wrong with her. Media these days pressures us to look better than humans actually can, and this time it just pressured her too far.
They convinced her to finally take her make up off, but there has been and will, be cases in which that will never be possible- because of what’s happening with society today.

  • anonymousasian Posted on July 2, 2011

@anonymous (on asian mind readers) You thought right, now we’re gonna’ have to hunt you down… to shut you up.

  • alexander Posted on July 23, 2011

  • Anne Smith Posted on September 8, 2011

The thing I don’t understand is how she looks a lot better in my opinion without make up on! She’s a natural beaty.

  • Rich Smith Posted on October 10, 2011

I personally find this disgusting, it must be so bad for your skin. What is even more alarming is to think how many girls around the world do the same thing to themselves.

  • Kdog Posted on October 17, 2011

The comments on this page got increasingly creepier.

  • Another Asian Girl Posted on January 16, 2012

I think she looks pretty even without make-up on.

  • Asian Horror Fan Posted on February 1, 2012

I just see smaller eyes. So where is the aged skin?

  • WHAT? Posted on February 10, 2012

I don’t see much of a change. They need to fix the camera where we can see what she really looks like.

  • Kajination Posted on February 12, 2012

The picture on the left actually looks better >>”
At least, to me it does >>”

  • Crystal Posted on February 14, 2012

  • Cris Posted on February 17, 2012

Even so, she looks lovely without the makeup, even if they say she looks twice her age.

  • AshKibum Posted on February 18, 2012

Ouch! But the pic of her without the make up is so much prettier than her with it. Her chin looks like a lot smaller in 1st pic…

  • ashkibum Posted on February 18, 2012

Annoynomous, Asain people DO show expressions = =|||

  • so-jin gong Posted on February 19, 2012

Left picture; Heavy makeup, circle lenses, ulzzang style (google’d up if you don’t know what it is) o_o
    In Korea Ulzzang means best-face, and it’s normal to have this kind of makeup style so it’s the same person! I know that because my best friend is an ulzzang too, she doesn’t look bad w/out makeup but it does look like a different person >_>;

It’s because she wears circle lenses that make her eyes looks bigger and a bit brighter. THIS IS THE POWER OF MAKEUP :/ And sure, it was her big mistake and hope she has learned her lesson but why do some of you react to her hair color? Asian people don’t complain when blonde girls dye their hair black, so why complaining at us? I think she looked cuter in left picture but the last picture made her look like 35 now (maybe you western people think she looks younger, but this is my asian eyes lol). It’s really sad that the world has come to this, people caring too much about their appearances. Like fine, she wanted surgery and it’s so normal anyway but… 10??? This is crazy.

  • so-jin gong Posted on February 19, 2012

I meant right picture looks better’* 😛
But the last picture is scary… Her skin haven’t breathing for years Q_Q

  • leticia Posted on February 24, 2012

i thought she would be worse

  • Looshk Posted on March 15, 2012

I actually think shes very beautiful without the make up.
