Dyed doggies

The latest in puppy fashion.

At some point, as a dog owner you’re not happy with your pet’s look anymore, so having gone through all the hip hairstyles, there’s nowhere to go, that fur die. So you go and turn the poor animal into a walking traffic light or even a rainbow. Well I guess nobody said being “beautiful” and popular was easy. Poor dogs…

My neighbor came over one morning complaining that he just saw my dog relieving herself on his lawn, there were 3 other dogs on the block that looked like mine so I asked him what color the duce dropping dog was. He said blonde, I told him it wasn’t my dog, I had dyed her fur (with animal safe dye, no chemicals) pink a few days before and showed her to him. I knew it wasn’t my dog anyway because I don’t let her out without a leash. He ended up pet sitting my pink Pom the next day and he took her everywhere with him, she even got him a few dates.

    sick bastards

I wish everyone would chill out a little. These dogs are colored with kool aid and watered down food coloring. It is safer on their skin than any flea shampoo on the market!

  • Hallie Posted on October 15, 2008

Hey… I have a pomeranian that i would like to die pink as well… what do you use on her?

  • Gareth Edwards Posted on December 11, 2008

If there were a god, he would make dogs be born in these nice pretty colours. Unfortunately we’re stuck with boring old evolution (and selective breeding in the case of domestic animals).

I am a dog groomer as well and this does not hurt the animal in any way. It is completely safe, and the dye itself is actually safer then most human hair dye. It does not cause any burning sensation, like human hair dye does, and it is basically like giving them a bath in tie dye. It washes out after a while and most people i have seen come in get this done for special events, including football games, we also do lettering and

The animal is not hurt, the hair dye is safer then most hair dyes, it is non toxic and the dog, or cat, does not feel any pain…

  • Corella Posted on December 12, 2008

The dogs do not “stink” the hair dye chemicals are not like most hair dye chemicals, and there is also dog cologne available…which we use on every dog (unless the owner says otherwise)

  • linda Posted on January 9, 2009

what kind of dye is it?

  • rhyan Posted on March 10, 2009

i feel sorry for those dogs even though i think some are cute. I like your website!

Lighten up, people. In most cases, it is SUGARLESS KOOLAID. Dogs have very limited color vision and do not give a rat’s ass what they look like. Many of the dogs shown look relaxed and happy (and probably enjoy the extra attention). Who cares if the owners get creative? I think most of the dogs look pretty darn cute.

    Oh Wow

  • Judy S Posted on June 3, 2009

The is no medical stanard for your claim they do NOT get cancer from using animal safe hair dye on them, which is what groomer use.!

I am a pet stylist and i dyed my dog pink and blue for easter. It was done with hair coloring made for animals and is very safe. The dying of a dogs fur is for the humans pleasure. I can tell you from experience my dog enjoyed the attention she recieved from being a walking easter egg. The dye had been approved safe for animals. And as far is getting cancer from it, who can say in the end. However they seem to have a beter chance getting cancer from the most the dog food being put on the market. So people just chill out.

  • noela Posted on December 11, 2009

For those who think dying dogs should be illegal. Well dear all the dyes are non-toxic, and they have no oder. If you were to use human dyes then it probably would be wrong.

If you think painted dog are good or bad, look at painted cats. Google painted cats and see for yourself. Even better!
