Lucky for me, I’m not very big on Chinese food, or any other spicy cuisine for that matter, I don’t know how my throat could withstand the power of that acid-like sauce. Frankly I can’t even conceive anybody would use that on their food, that stuff makes Mexican chilly look like baby food.

if you’ve ever tried anything like this please leave your thoughts, I’m really curious if Chinese hot sauce is as hot as it looks.

UPDATE: According to one of our readers the red substance is actually some kind of oil and it is not eatable. Sorry for the mix-up, my Chinese is not very good.

that is crazy! If a product has the proven capabilities of eating through styrofoam then why in the hell would I want to ingest it?

Hey hey hey, lucky I am here.
No whomever told you that this was a hot sauce ?
    Something lost in translation.
This is a hot oil to be used sparingly as a pain relief oil.
nOT AT all should it be ingested.
    Oh boy.

@Micah … don’t look inside a styrofoam coffee cup after you drink the coffee then.

Even if that -was- hot sauce, what’s the big deal?

thank god l m not chinese nor indian
something like this hot sauce the acidity will appear in the taste but in something like fizzy drinks such as cola or pepsi cola high acidity will be obscured in the sweetness of the sugar so cant realize what will happen in your body so be careful what u eat

That would be some pretty hot sauce if that was actually real. And Chinese food isn’t that bad, as long as you don’t visit a restaurant where they use cardboard and flavoring as bread.

Take a little nail polish remover pour it on Styrofoam and it will burn right through it like acid. So maybe the hot sauce has acetone in it.

In spite of your learning that it is not an eatable “oil” as per your update, you have not changed the title. That can only mean that you are willing to misguide people on purpose.

    @ DK

Point taken DK, although that was never my intention, the title might have been misleading, I have changed it.

You fools, just because that hot sauce eats a little styrofoam, it doesn’t mean it can do anything to your stomach. My god, your stomach contains hydrochloric acid, which can eat through much more than a little styrofoam. The mucus lining in your stomach counteracts the acidity of hydrochloric and other acids, or else you would be long dead…

    Read a book you fools.

You are a complete ass. Why not do a little research before making a complete fool of yourself. The earth would be a better place if you put a bullet through your worthless brain.

as far as i know, styrofoam is dissolved by ANY oil, so to me this is the same as saying: “Oh my god, look at it chew right through those soap bubbles! And did you see that tissue paper? This must really be some potent shit, you gotta see this!”

Why is this still on my internet? Fail.

Any petroleum product will dissolve Styrofoam. Try it with some kerosene or diesel fuel. This product obviously has some petroleum based oil in it’s mixture.

Hi I was really bored oneday and I found a piece of styrafoam and I had a bottle of nail polish. I put the nailpolish on the styrafoam and it burned straight through it. Do you know why nail polish burns through styrafoam but not our finger nails?
