Office Worker Does Ab Wheel Exercises Every Day for a Year to Get Anime Character Body

A young Japanese office worker has allegedly been doing ab wheel exercises every day for the last year in order to attain the muscular body of his favorite anime character, Inosuke Hashibira.

On March 1st, 2021, the 33-year-old office worker, known only by his Twitter handle (@InosukeWorkout) posted photos of his body on the microblogging social network, announcing that he was going to start doing ab wheel exercises in order to achieve the toned physique of Inosuke Hashibira, one of the main protagonists of the Demon Slayer: Kimenu no Yaiba manga/anime. Sporting the character’s iconic wild boar mask, the mysterious man then started daily videos of himself doing ab wheel exercises, and documenting his progress through photos.

We didn’t g through all of his Twitter posts, but @InosukeWorkout recently told IT Media that his account grew steadily, at a slow pace at first, but as his body changed and word of his unique project spread, the number of followers grew as well. At the time of this writing, his Twitter had a respectable 249,000 followers.

In his recent interview with IT Media, the 33-year-old said that he decided on an ab wheel because it was an easy-to-use, high-impact exercise device. It turns out he was right, as the simple ab wheel helped him get the body he desired, as well as lose over 13 kilograms.

@InosukeWorkout started his project at 70.1 kg, and, after 365 days and almost 36,000 ab wheel exercises, he weighed just 57 kilos. He didn’t plan on celebrating the one-year mark, but the results of his work were pretty remarkable, and his Twitter community had grown quite a bit, so he decided to report his one-year achievements.

Apart from the weight loss, which @InosukeWorkout admits can also be attributed to a significant change in diet, his toned physique looks nothing like the body he started out with. In fact, with that wild boar mask, you could mistake him for a real-life Inosuke.

According to his detailed documentation on Togetter, the mysterious Inosuke fan, who shares the spotlight with his cute Pomeranian, Emma, started his first day of the project with 10 standing ab wheel rolls, and 55 knee tools. By his last day, he was doing 100 standing rolls and 100 knee rolls easily.

@InosukeWorkout said that his fans were his biggest motivation to stick to his routine every day and that, despite his enviable physique, he plans to carry on past the 365-day mark. Apparently, he doesn’t quite like Inouke yet.
