The Power of Make-Up

By slowly scrolling down from the first photo to the last one, you’ll realize the true power of make-up in the right hands.

This is why I never hit on women wearing too much make-up, you never know who you’re going to wake up in the morning. I’m not saying the girl in the first photo is ugly, but compared to how she looks covered with all that make up…Let’s just say there’s a chance you’ll be disappointed when you see “the real her” for the first time.

Bottom line: Make-up is powerful stuff!

That is just so scary! How powerful. So when dating girls, make sure you dare them to not wear make up on your first date. Haha!

    @lisa
Not all guys are like that >_<. Maybe just the ones YOUVE met, but thats like me saying all girls whine when guys hang out instead of going shoe shopping, and all girls want guys with rock hard six packs. I personally like my girl with as little makeup as possible. It looks more natural that way. Perhaps you should stop caring so much about what these "guys" want (according to you) and focus more on whatever the hell works for you.

  3. Soundnous says:

Yo dude, sorry to burst your bubble, but the “girl” in the first picture is a GUY

  4. Dave says:

Lisa, stereotyping men yet asking for social forgiveness of women? What youre saying is that men dont go to the gym or try to make themselves look nice either. Hate to tell ya but we do try to look good. Just because you can’t see the light in men doesn’t mean that there aren’t a few of us out there that aren’t evil. If you can’t accept men then you can’t expect us to accept you. It’s plain and simple.
Also, not all men want you to look like a movie star. In our eyes you either are or aren’t. If someone doesn’t see you the way you want to be seen it doesn’t mean there isn’t someone who does.
It sounds like you’re angry because you had a bad experience. Sorry to break it to ya but we all have. And don’t think that for a second men don’t get the same treatment from women that women get from men. There are women out there that can’t stand how some men look so don’t get all high and mighty. The difference is that men usually dont go around trying to hide our natural look. You either like us or don’t. We aren’t here to impress you. We are here to impress someone who can accept us.

    P.S.
Not all men are the kind who “drink 12 beers a day and munch on chips”.

It’s not just the makeup that’s different, the camera angle and her hair is just as important.

I think she is beautiful both with and without makeup :)

  6. jej says:

So um, I don’t think that she’s ugly to begin with, but maybe my perspective is different since I’m a woman. Make-up is great to even out skin tone and hide all those imperfections. The foundation is there, the make-up just highlights what she already has. I’m sure some of you guys are joking around, but it’s disappointing to read your comments on this young lady.

I guess I don’t have to worry too much because I rarely wear make-up, I’m too lazy, but I’ve seen some hideous specimens, on both sides of the gender gate, and she is not one of them.

  7. lamedb says:

The real difference comes between the 13th and 14th picture- because she adds stick-on tape that creates a crease in her eyelid that she naturally doesn’t have. All that eyeshadow and such doesn’t make a difference on how large and smiling her eyes look. And that’s the real secret to asian makeup.

  8. Renii says:

OMGahhhh i was so shocked when i saw this. and its true make up is powerful and can ,make people seem sortof fake. if you cath my drift but hahah i guess everyone just wants to look pretty ^^

  9. Mellisa H. says:

Yeah, Make up is GREAT, but it’s not a necessity. The most I wear is eye makeup. And not very much at that.

  10. roy.mortuus says:

    this isn’t guy,it’s gay

  11. Chad says:

I think that aside from evening out her complexion, make up didn’t do anything. Once she put the foundation down to hide her imperfections, she looked good to me.

For me, most powerful make up is lip gloss…

  12. Bmaboo2 says:

Honestly, when looking at the first pic, I thought that was a dude showing the power of makeup, not an actual woman. I feel kinda sorry for her.

  13. Stuart says:

Whatever, she’s gorgeous either way. You guys are pretty shallow ;)

  14. Konj says:

Well, personally i like girls with as little make up as possible, i think its a more natural look, and all the kids today, 12-18 really need to learn not to use make up, its scary how much they put on.

  15. talktothehand says:

unlike you perfect people, some of us need a little help. But overall, we are beautiful no matter what.

  16. Naz says:

If you think about it, the first picture is a horrible close up passport looking picture, and come on, who looks cute at that angle. what more with no fringe and hair up and she hardly is smiling!

as compared to the last few pictures taken at a nice modelly angle, smiling, and with nice hair.

    It’s not all makeup =D

  17. ghgfhgfh says:

holy shit. this kind of shit should be on commercials. they would sell tons of their toxic crap that a way.

  18. Captain Obvious says:

    Ugly before, ugly after.

  19. Dario D. says:

Makeup isn’t doing 80% of this. (I’m a photographer and fashion guru, btw) It’s:
1 – the gradual introduction of nicer and nicer hair…
2 – less and less sharpened photos (the first 3 photos exaggerate the facial defects by being sharpened in Photoshop. It’s a huge cheap-shot)
3 – the change in lighting toward the end; it switches from frontal-flash (photographers consider frontal flash uglifying, and avoid it at all costs), to “soft”, directional lighting. Another huge cheap-shot.
4 – the better visibility of nicer-looking clothes toward the end, and sudden introduction of good body angles/poses (these contribute to kicking the mind into “the-scene-is-beautiful” mode).

Removing a few wrinkles, and adding a hint of color won’t cause this colossal change. 80% of face beauty is composition (in other words, not makeup).

  20. bethy says:

the thing is, would any of you guys actually give her a second glance in the first picture? all the time guys say how much they love the natural look, but honestly i can’t see all too many guys going nuts for that first photo. and when people are like that, i don’t blame anyone for wanting to wear makeup.

my boyfriend has a huge crush on ashley greene (alice cullen) because she does the ‘natural look’. i asked him to find me one photo of her without makeup; in the photo that he sent, in which he thought she was completely makeup free, i picked up at least ten different products used to make her look ‘natural’. to men the natural look is still airbrushed, women are taught how to apply makeup to look as if you’re wearing none. if you want girls to wear no makeup stop idolising magazine models and let girls feel comfortable in their own skin.

  21. Von Lilliehöök says:

Both men and women are shallow, the only differences is that women also prefer money.

  22. XhYsOnG says:

u know what that is not the girl !!!!

that just teaches how to make up like a girl !!!

  23. bradlea says:

the main difference was eyelid tape, not makeup.

  24. Adde says:

    Totally agree with Dario D.
    Just add one thing…
    the smile.

The angled shots, escpecially when she’s smiling do alot.

Look at pic 5 – not to bad
Then it gets worse in pic 7 – almost looking angry and the frontal flash Dario mentioned.

    And Bethy.
If I see two complete strangers and I’m looking for a date, ofcourse I’m going to walk up the the one that I think looks the hotest, that doesn’t mean there’s anything wrong with the other girl.
Just the same as girls walk up to the guy with the biggest chest or fatest wallet first.
“No not me, I’m not like that” – BS. The odd irregularity doesn’t make up for the majority.

  26. boogie babe says:

She is soo ugly but that doesn’t mean you should judge a person by his/her looks.

  27. Meh says:

    She’s still ugly

  28. xoxox says:

i think its edited for the purpose of advertising.. the hairline is completely different from the first photo.. faces with scars cannot be hide even if you use lots lots of cake foundation.. this is just a hoax.. 101% :)
people wants to look good that is why they go to gym and for girls we go to the salon.. it doesn’t matter if we looks good outside.. we do things bcoz we feel good inside and that will reflects the outside aura.. so do what you want and don’t let this kind of crap let you down.. if this is real? it may look good in the photo but i bet in real? its obviously uneven tone.. unless you afford to have a spray make-up like the one they use in hollywood to cover-up wrinkles of the super star :)
