Gothic Wedding

I can’t say I’m very big on Goth culture in general, it’s all very pessimistic, at least that’s the way I see it, but there are some places where it fits right in. A wedding isn’t one of them.

But that didn’t seem to matter to these two lovebirds. The 49 year old groom and the 45 year old bride decided they wanted a funeral-style wedding, so they dressed for the occasion, arrived in coffins carried by a funeral wagon and even wore make-up to make themselves look like real live…dead people.

It’s all in the head

And I don’t mean mentally!

I wouldn’t have believed if I hadn’t seen it with my own eyes, that’s for sure! It’s not only that the bike must be heavy as hell, but what about the balance, one wrong move and he could easily snap his neck. Don’t even get me started on him climbing that bus ladder with the bike on top of his head. If this guy isn’t in the Guinness Book of Records by now…well…somebody should tell them about him.

Dancing with crocs

I didn’t know crocodiles were easy to train, this guy proves that they are.

Still, putting your head inside that beast’s head like that?!? And he looks like he doesn’t have a care in the world, like nothing could go wrong, it’s a little annoying. Buddy that thing has one of the strongest bites on the planet, if he snaps, that’s it, game over! And with a face like that, I wonder how that crock can help himself…

Although I doubt he’ll have a head on his shoulders for a long time, if he keeps this up, the guy has balls the size of watermelons!

Limbo-skating champion

I’ve always found skating quite difficult, but skating under cars…what more can I say?

Aniket Chindak is the unofficial world champion at skating under cars, he was able to skate under 57 cars in only 45 seconds, and now he’s getting ready to shatter his own record. “I first saw a girl skate under a car on TV two years ago and decided to learn how to do it myself. It took three months before I could get my body in the right position. Since then I have skated under lots of cars and have never hurt myself.” That’s pretty impressive considering the boy has been skating ever since he was 18 months old.

The boy has now started training for skating under 100 cars in order to set a record that no one can beat for a long time. Good luck wit that!

Overgrown vegies

Here’s a collection of abnormally large vegetables, a real treat if you’re into them, but for a hardcore carnivore like myself those things are freakin’ scary! Well I guess it would be nice to have them grow like this on a regular basis, they’d help solve the world hunger issue.

The real Catman

And I’m not talking about the comic-book hero, but about the real cat-man…or Stalking Cat as he likes to be addressed to.

David Avner, a native American, part Huron, part Lakota has spent more than $200.000 on plastic surgery to make himself look as a tiger, his totem animal. He even had all of his teeth removed and replaced them with feline-like ones, he has tattooed his face with stripes, he modified his upper lip and inserted stainless steel implants to insert whiskers in, he had his ears surgically pointed and inserted silicone in different areas of his face.

Catman has become quite famous after appearing on several TV shows, including Ripley’s Believe it or Not and Larry King Live. Read More »

The power of Chinese massage oil

Lucky for me, I’m not very big on Chinese food, or any other spicy cuisine for that matter, I don’t know how my throat could withstand the power of that acid-like sauce. Frankly I can’t even conceive anybody would use that on their food, that stuff makes Mexican chilly look like baby food.

if you’ve ever tried anything like this please leave your thoughts, I’m really curious if Chinese hot sauce is as hot as it looks.

UPDATE: According to one of our readers the red substance is actually some kind of oil and it is not eatable. Sorry for the mix-up, my Chinese is not very good.

Starving in Egypt

Jonathan McCullum was a perfectly healthy 17 years old boy, weighing at 155 pounds. That all changed went he signed for an exchange student program in Egypt. His hosts were Coptic Christians, who fast an unmatched 200 days a year and the boy says he was denied sufficient food, all four months that he spent there.

When he returned to the states, Jonathan was unrecognizable, weighing a mere 97 pounds and struggling to carry his own baggage and climb up stairs. He had to be hospitalized for two weeks because he risked having a heart attack.

Despite the whole ordeal, the boy doesn’t regret his experience and sees it as a mere clash of cultures, he plans on going to Zimbabwe this summer as part of a volunteer program. Take some food with you this time buddy!

The bride of Wildenstein

Meet Jocelyn Wildenstein, also known as the The Lion Queen, The Cat Woman or The Bride of Wildenstein. She was born in 1940 and in a crazy attempt to stay young forever she is said to have spent around $4.000.000 on plastic surgery. Sadly that only brought her the title of world’s scariest celebrity, from a plastic surgery website, in 2004.

It’s pretty sad when you think about it, if I were her, I’d rather look like a nice old lady rather than as a doll-faced monster. Anyway her boyfriend seems to like her…I’m sure it has nothing to do with the fact that she’s rich!

Women breastfeeding animals

I have no problems looking at pictures depicting animal moms breastfeeding and literally taking in babies of different species, I even find them very sweet. But for some reason, looking at these photos of women breastfeeding various animals makes me very nauseous, it’s just not natural, no matter what continent your from. Read More »

Tension ceiling handling a flood

Until these images caught my eye a few days ago, I didn’t even know what a tension ceiling did exactly. Of course I was never really interested in finding out, but now that I did, I’m actually thinking of getting one. Floods can be really nasty, and all that work to repair a flooded ceiling can be really exhausting so why bother, I’d rather have a balloon as a ceiling doing all the work. Take a look, it really works!

Karni Mata, the temple of rats

The Karni Mata Hindu temple was built by Maharajah Ganga Singh in the early 1900s as a tribute to the rat goddess, Karni Mata and the most intriguing aspect of it, is that it’s home for over 20.000 worshiped rats.

The legend behind this temple is that Karni Mata, a matriarch from the 14th century was a reincarnation of Durga, the goddess of power and victory. at one point one of her clansmen’s child died and she tried to bring it back to life only to be told by Yama, the god of death that he had already reincarnated as a rat. Karni Mata struck a deal with Tama, that all her dead clansmen would reincarnate as rats, until they were ready to be born again into the tribe.

It’s a nice story but I can’t stop thinking about how that place must smell…

The horned lady

The story behind these photos is, this lady came into the doctor’s office one day with that “beauty” coming out of her forehead and saying she had a bump on her head 20 years earlier, that later burst(!?!) and dried up, eventually turning into a horn. When it was removed, the horn had a length of 17 centimeters. Pretty strange…

Fattest Baby in the World?

Look at these pictures and tell me if this looks like a normal 6 month old baby…He’s from Iran, and at the tender age of six months he already weighs over 20 kilograms. He weighed a normal 3 kilograms at birth, but the mother says since then he started gaining very fast, because he was asking for food every hour. They look happy in the pictures, but they should do something about the child’s eating disorder until it’s too late…

The Young and the Fearless

They may be young and short but kids often turn out to be a lot braver than most gown-ups. I mean how many of you would be willing to ride a Komodo dragon, or take a bath with a full grown python? I know I wouldn’t, so my hat is off to these little daredevils!
