Man Uses Lamborghini Exhaust to Cook World’s Most Expensive Skewered Meat

A young Lamborghini owner in China recently got his five minutes of online fame by trying to barbecue some skewered pork with the car’s fiery exhaust and incurring about $80,000 in repair costs.

A few days ago a group of men gathered around an orange Lamborghini sports car in an underground garage in Changsha, Hunan Province, to witness the cooking of what many have called the world’s most expensive skewered pork. Apparently, the luxury car owner and his friend decided that it would be fun to use the Lamborghini’s super hot exhaust to barbecue a small piece of meat skewered on a stick. The driver kept pressing the acceleration pedal of the parked car, while his smiling friend held the skewer. What could go wrong, right?

As it turns out, Lamborghinis’ extreme power makes them prone to overheating, at least when one incessantly hits the throttle while parked.

With no way for the engine to cool off, the water tank blew up and the expensive sports car was engulfed in white vapor. Coolant started leaking from under the vehicle, so both men and the surrounding crowd moved back until the steam dissipated.

Sohu reports that the repair costs of the Lamborghini were estimated at around 500,000 yuan ($79,000), which is quite the price to pay for a measly pork skewer.

Still, the car owner and his friends didn’t seem all that upset, as they can be seen smiling and laughing as they struggle to push the car onto a tow truck.

The viral video went viral in China last week, sparking outrage among the public, many of which decried the attitude of the young driver, claiming that he nonchalantly ruined a car that most Chinese people can only dream of.

Others called it an example of the lack of healthy principles displayed by many second-generation youths born into wealth.
