The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is a theme park based on JK Rowling’s best selling series, Harry Potter, due to open in the spring of 2010, at Universal Studios’ Islands of Adventure resort, in Orlando.
Artists have drawn artworks to show the world a small preview of the magical theme park. Let’s have a look at what we’ll be able to experience in the world of Harry Potter:
A high-tech roller-coaster will be set up inside Hogwarts Castle
The theme-park will feature a full-size Potter village of Hogsmeade and a Three Broomsticks Restaurant
Filch’s Emporium of Confiscated Goods, full of Ministry of Magic products and magical creatures
A sweets-shop, faithful to JK Rowlings series
The Owlery, where visitors will be able to sit back and relax
Flight of the Hippogriff, a roller-coaster ride based on the magical creature presented in the Harry Potter books
The Dragon Challenge, a high-speed challenge, based on the Triwizard Tournament
Ollivander’s Wand Shop, where tourists will be able to choose their very own magical wand.
