Burger King Thailand recently shocked the fast food world with its latest addition to the menu – a ‘real cheeseburger’ that consists of 20 slices of cheese between two sesame burger buns.

The Real Cheeseburger hit Burger King locations across Thailand last Sunday and immediately went viral online. People started posting photos of the tower-like burger, expressing their disbelief that something like this was actually being sold as food. Many people still didn’t believe it was anything more than a stunt, but Burger King clarified that “This is no joke. This is for real,” via its social media channels. The unusual burger, which consists of 20 slices of American cheese stacked between two buns, comes with no sauce, pickles, and most importantly, no meat patty. By some accounts, the cheese is sometimes not even grilled or melted.

Man Eats McDonald’s Three Times a Day for 100 Days, Loses 60 Pounds

A 57-year-old Nashville man claims that he has managed to lose 60 lbs (27kg) of body weight by eating McDonald’s fast food three times a day for 100 days straight.

A 32-year-old man nicknamed “Mr. McDonald’s” has been eating at the world’s most popular fast food chain every other day for the past two decades, and has invested a small fortune in McDonald’s-related clothes and memorabilia.

David Geyer, a gardener from Bergheim, Germany, first ate at a McDonald’s fast food restaurant in 1997, and the moment he took a bite of that very first burger, he knew that the iconic fast food brand would become a part of his life forever. He came back for more every chance he got, but he realized just how passionate he was about McDonald’s when he got his first job and started spending more time at the local McD’s than he did at his mother’s dining table. “Labor Inducer” Burger Attracts Flux of Pregnant Women to Minnesota Restaurant

Pregnant women have reportedly been flocking to a restaurant in Excelsior, Minnesota, to try the famed “Labor Inducer” burger and hopefully go into labor faster.

Belgian Man Has Been Eating Fries for Dinner Every Day for the Last 32 Years

A 45-year-old Belgian man claims that he has eaten only potato fries and a fricadelle – Dutch hot dog – for dinner every day ever since he was 13.

Rudy Gybels, a resident of Schaffen in Belgium’s Flemish Brabant province, has had the same food for dinner every evening since he was a teenager. It all started when he was 13, when his mother, desperate to get him to eat more fruits and vegetables, came up with a compromise solution. Rudy would eat healthy food at lunch, and he was free to enjoy his favorite food – potato fries – for dinner. And he has been sticking to that deal ever since, eating only fries for dinner every evening for the last 32 years.

The Last McDonald’s Burger in Iceland Just Turned 10 And It Still Looks Edible

Chinese Fast-Food Stall Owner Hires Buff Male Model to Flip Burgers, Makes a Killing

Wang Meng, who owns a small food stall at a night market in Shenyang city, said that he decided to employ a man known as ‘John’ because of his impressive physique. John doesn’t speak much Chinese, but Meng seems to have made up for that by having John flip hamburgers topless. After all, there’s no language like body-language. Meng said he specifically chose hamburgers because he didn’t really want to challenge his new chef’s culinary skills (or lack thereof).

Utah Man Has Eaten Over 12,000 Big Mac Burgers in the Last 30 Years

He doesn’t look like your average junk-food addict, but 64-year-old Dennis Rosinlof says that he’s been hooked on McDonald’s Big Macs for the last three decades. During that time, the Utah man estimates he has consumed at least 12,000 burgers.

Dennis started eating Big Mac burgers when he started working as a salesman, 30 years ago, and has never stopped since. For the last two decades, the Vietnam War veteran says he has been eating at least 10 Big Macs a week, and he still can’t get enough of them. He has one on Monday, on his way home from work, two on Tuesday, one on the way to work, and one on the way home, one Big Mac for breakfast on Wednesday, two on Thursday and Friday, and always two of them on Saturday. He only takes a break from his favorite food on Saturday, when his wife cooks for the whole family. Dennis estimates he has spent around $60,000 on Big Mac meals ever since he first started eating them 30 years ago, but says that’s less than what he has spent on car fuel, and that doesn’t come with fries and a beverage.

Curious Eats – Tokyo’s Legendary Black Hot Dog

Japan is known for its selection of weird foods, and today we can add one more item to the ever-growing list. The Black Terra Hot-Dog is one of the most popular fast-food delicacies sold in the Akihabara district of Tokyo. It’s over 30 centimeters long and looks like it’s been cooked a few hours longer than necessary.

Black hamburgers have been around for about a year now, ever since Burger King launched its Premium Kuro Burger in Japan. It has black buns and dark ketchup, but the meat patty and vegetables retain their natural colors. But the people over at Vegas Premium Hot-Dogs, in Akihabara, Tokyo decided to one-up the giant fast-food chain by creating a food item that is entirely black as charcoal. Vegas was already famous for the size of its delicious hot-dogs, which span over 30 cm in length, but ever since they introduced the Black Terra Hot-Dog, in March, their popularity has grown even more. You would expect clients to be turned off by the rubber-like sausage, but apparently people who see this delicacy advertised on the billboards in front of the fast-food joint just can’t resist the urge to try it.

14-Year-Old McDonald’s Burger Looks Good Enough to Eat

In 1999 a man from Utah bought a McDonald’s hamburger and kept it around for a month just to show his friends how it would look exactly the same because it was full of preservatives. Fast forward 14 years, the burger is almost unchanged .

David Whipple originally intended to hang on to his burger for 30 days, but somehow forgot it in the pocket of one of his coats and only found it two years later. Seeing the fast food looked almost the same as the day it was first flipped, he decided to continue his experiment just to see how long it would take until the burger disintegrated. It’s been 14 years now and the burger simply refuses to age. “It wasn’t on purpose,” Whipple said about his decision to keep the hamburger for so long. “I was showing some people how enzymes work and I thought a hamburger would be a good idea. And I used it for a month and then I forgot about it. “My wife didn’t discover it until at least a year or two after that. And we pulled it out and said ‘oh my gosh. I can’t believe it looks the same way.'” His “edible” keepsake has been recently showcased on the popular TV show “The Doctors”, and while the pickle had disintegrated, you could clearly see there was no sign of mold on the buns or the meat.

Let’s face it, many of us do it for free, but Washington University, in St. Louis, will gladly pay participants in its new study $3,500 to eat fast food for a period of three months.

I tell you, job offers don’t get much better than this. A top American university is conducting a study on obesity and asking participants to gain weight during a period of three months. In order to properly motivate them to fill their bellies with various types of fast food, researchers have decided to reward them with a check of $3,500 for the three months of heavy eating. The only real requirement is people who participate in the study must gain at least 5% their starting weight, before the three months are over. Considering they’re all allowed to eat whatever kinds of junk food they like multiple times a day, I don’t think that’s going to be  much of a problem.

It Was Bound to Happen: Man Suffers Cardiac Arrest at Heart Attack Grill

In a weird karmic twist, a man suffered a heart attack while dining at a place called the Heart Attack Grill. A sign outside warns customers: “Go away. If you come to this place, it’s going to kill you.” I suppose all that the restaurant owners could say to this guy is – ‘we told you so’. We did a story about the restaurant here on OC a few years ago, but ittle did we know back then that it would one day cause someone to go into cardiac arrest.

The man remains unidentified, although a video shot by an onlooker shows that he might be in his 40s. The video captured paramedics rushing him out of the Las Vegas branch of the restaurant. When the disaster struck, he was actually chowing down a whopping 6000-calorie Triple Bypass Burger. Needless to say, he soon started to experience chest pains. and now he may actually need a bypass.

World’s Biggest Big Mac Is Faker than You Think

A lot of people have been saying McDonald’s makes fake burgers, but the world’s biggest Big Mac is so fake it’s not even edible.

I know one guy who would love to sink his teeth into this fast-food monument, but sadly it’s just for decoration. The world’s biggest Big Mac was unveiled back in 2008, at the burger’s birthplace – a McDonald’s restaurant in Huntington, Pennsylvania, to celebrate its 40th anniversary. It stands 14-feet-tall and is just one of the McDonald’s exhibits hosted by the restaurant\museum.

Created over 40 years ago, the Big Mac is the world’s most popular sandwich. It was created by Jim Delligatti, a McDonald’s franchise owner from Uniontown, and following its immediate success, it was added to McDonald’s menus nationwide. Billions of Big Macs are sold all over the world every year, with 550 million sold in the US alone. Weighing nearly half a pound, with 540 calories and 29 grams of fat, the Big Mac isn’t exactly a nutritionist favorite, but almost all of them eating one every once in a while is not a big problem, as long as it doesn’t become an everyday habit.

Giant Hamburger Sets New World Record

The last “world’s largest hamburger” weighed a massive 590 pounds, but that didn’t stop Brett Enright from blowing it right out of the water with an even bigger calorie bomb.

Enright, CEO of Juicys traveling barbecue catering service, first thought about attempting to make the world’s largest hamburger last December, while on vacation. He looked up the Guinness Record for the world’s biggest burger, and after a talk with Nick Nicora, co-owner of Ovation Food Services, he decided to try and beat it, at this year’s Alameda County Fair.

On July 2, at 5 am, Brett and his helpers started working on their fast-food monster, by preparing 600 pounds of meat, which they expected would shrink to 400 pounds, after cooking. Then they molded 340 pounds of dough into two buns, which after baking were covered with 50 pounds of cheese, 20 pounds of onions, 30 pounds of lettuce, 13 pounds of pickles and 20 pounds of mustard and ketchup (10 of each). The burger itself was cooked on a giant, mobile barbecue called The Outlaw Grill. This mean contraption spends most of the year on the road, traveling from NASCAR events to concerts and fairs, cooking up a storm wherever it goes. This huge burger was its biggest challenge yet.
